My wife and I are considering doing a half day rafting tour on the Upper New River on 4/23/15. Approximately, how warm would you normally expect the water temp to be, can we wear shorts, swimwear or something warmer?

Hi. I don't work for Cantrell but I've rafted a lot and stayed there. Water temp in April can be pretty cold even if air temp is warm. I'd wear more than a bathing suit. A farmer john wetsuit and/or something with layers... More
