We visited Coco Plum Island Resort in late October/Early November as an anniversary getaway (23 years!) and we were blown away by the entire experience. I can't write a review that would do it justice; I only encourage you to read about 15 or 20 of the other 5-star reviews on here and you will get a sense of what to expect. We researched destinations for this trip for over 2 months, and nearly got caught in the trap of "which Sandals location should we go to?" but after reading such mixed reviews of all of the Sandals locations I found that people either had the best vacation ever or the worst vacation ever, just luck of the draw. A lot of reviews talked about how the service at those large resorts has gone downhill since Covid. Well that's not what we were looking for. It's a big deal for us to leave our kids for a week and for me to take off work for a week (and to spend a decent pile of $$$) so I needed to do more than roll the dice on which resort would be "least worst". I asked one of my clients where he and his wife went for their anniversary last year, and I am so grateful that he said "You MUST go to Coco Plum!" I had never heard of Coco Plum and had not previously considered Belize, so once more I wearily went to Trip Advisor reviews expecting once again to get mixed signals and was instantly convinced that there was nowhere else to consider, and that we would go to Coco Plum, no matter how long we had to wait for availability. All that to say this: Belize is a beautiful country and the few folks we interacted with off the resort were pleasant & welcoming. Coco Plum takes absolute care of you from the moment you land in Dangriga Town, and they see to your every need while you are their guest. I could go on and on about the beauty and serenity of the island, the comfort and privacy of the cabanas, but I would rather talk about the staff at Coco Plum. They are the difference-maker, and here I am at home nearly one month later still marveling at how (& why) they were able to provide such impeccable service to us (and to all other guest interactions that we witnessed). The bartenders, the chef & kitchen staff, the wait staff, the housekeeping/maintenance crew/the boat captains, bus drivers, and of course the management were all absolutely top notch... polite, knowledgeable, attentive and eager to attend to your needs without making it seem like they were inconvenienced in the least. You will learn their names because you'll want to. Even if you are introverts like us, they will eventually draw you out of your shell if you let them. You can read many of their names in other people's reviews. (I read them and it just makes me sad that I'm not still there!) I'm afraid that my wife and I (by choosing Coco Plum as our very first all-inclusive resort experience) have set ourselves up for disappointment on all future resort vacations if we decide go anywhere else. Multiple fellow guests (each of whom are more well-travelled than us) confirmed this would be the case. Oh well. Very few people get to witness a perfect version of anything even once. We at least have witnessed a perfect version of customer service and hospitality during our stay at Coco Plum, and the result of their all-around awesomeness was the best vacation we have ever had.

Hotel's Favourite
My husband and I visited Coco Plum in October for honeymoon and it was pure bliss. The staff is unmatched - they are extremely hardworking and so kind. They made the trip unforgettable! Maintenance keeps the island immaculate, housekeeping is almost invisible and keep the rooms well stocked and clean. Chef Jude makes absolutely delectable meals. You will not go hungry!! 3 hearty meals a day, plus hefty snacks. Everything was delicious and they go above and beyond to serve. If you ever want an extra snack or room service, they will make it happen - no questions asked! The bartenders are great guys that serve some amazing frozen beverages from sun up to sun down. The waiters and waitresses are some of the sweetest humans that manage to remember your name and your food preferences after day 1! Incredible. We had the most blissful couples massage from Miss Bella and the excursion staff who took us snorkeling were so knowledgeable. The island itself is absolutely stunning. We could not imagine a more relaxing trip. There is a reason so many guests return year after year!!

Just returned from our 5th visit home and it always always exceeds our expectations. Let's start by saying to each and every staff member, those you see and those you don't, it takes all of you as a team to make every guest's stay enjoyable. Alex and Bella do a fantastic job of running the team. It was great to meet new people and make new friends. To any new guests and return guests, be sure to speak with everyone, get to know the people you are spending your well deserved vacation with, you never know, you may make lifelong friends! Remember the island saying, " You're only a stranger until you arrive". The food was great as always, but really appreciate the new new additions to the menu. Sunday funday was AMAZING! We were stoked they brought it back for our visit and we had so much fun. We were lucky enough to be there for the Belizean national holiday. Alex was very informative about the culture and everyone was dressed in their Garifuna finest. Too many to mention everyone, but thank you to our second family...Alex, Bella, Ervin, Jess, Omar, Santiago-new member, Alan the beach captain, Mark, Amador, Kayla, Evelyn, Breana, and of course Brian always wants to thank his friends from the back of the house, Kim, Daniel, Chocolate, Erla, the newest member Gris, and Jude. Be sure to hit the spa, Mar and Chamille are wonderful! The boat captains are awesome, thanks Robert and Shawn! See you in April 2024!

I want to start off by saying that I did a TON of research on the best place to stay in Belize for our honeymoon, and Coco Plum by far came again and again as the highest recommended. And our experience was not any different at all. From the start to the finish, our stay at Coco Plum was truly a dream. We stayed for 8 days and 7 nights at the tail end of the rainy season this year. From arrival, our cabana was so clean and comfortable and felt just like home. Our private porch had a hammock and a gorgeous eastern view of the sunrise over the sea every day. Rain or shine, we had an absolute blast. We took advantage of the many activities around the island including kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, yoga with Bella (so peaceful!), and the best couples massage we have ever had. We went snorkeling three times and each time was absolutely unique and incredible, thanks to our amazing guide Lyndon. I have snorkeled several times before, but this was my first snorkeling experience when the guide actually swam with us and pointed out all the various species of sea life. He would take us to different spots depending on the weather and the ocean currents which I found fascinating! The reefs are only 15-20 min boat rides away and is the most colorful, diverse, and exciting marine life I have seen. We also decided to purchase the Jungle Tour add-on which was 100% worth it. It was a wonderful experience to see the Belizean rainforest and river tube and zipline for the first time. We also absolutely loved the tour of Cahal Pech Mayan ruins and learn about the rich history and culture of Belize. This tour also included eating lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious and great experience as well. Overall, there was a perfect balance of relaxation including sipping on a fresh fruit cocktails and reading a book, mixed with exciting activities available as desired. Last but absolutely not least, the service, food, and staff at the resort and island are what make the stay a stand-out experience. We were gifted the Honeymoon Romance add-on which included a bottle of Prosecco and a private one-on-one candlelit dinner which were both such wonderful touches that we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was unmatched and every meal we had was so delicious and truly thought out. It felt like we were eating at a high-end restaurant at each meal and we also loved that we were able to try various Belizean dishes. The staff made the experience top-notch - they were all incredible- so detail-oriented & friendly, and it truly felt sad to leave them on our last day. In conclusion, if you are looking at where to go for your honeymoon, I 100% highly recommend Coco Plum. You would not regret your decision at all. It was everything we could have asked for and more. Thank you, Coco Plum!

The best decision for our Honeymoon. I have been to many resorts, but this was my husband's first resort/tropical experience and it set the bar incredibly high for the future. Getting there was an adventure to be able to travel locally by local airlines and boat, it was so fun! Then to top it off with a Mosquito Bite cocktail when we arrived was amazing. We did the Romance Add On and were welcomed to our cabana with Prosecco and a treat! We experienced almost everything the island could offer us. We did the Jungle Tour Add-On in which the tours were fun. Ziplining through the jungle and river tubing (Cave Tubing was Unavailable due to the River Levels) was a great experience topped off with lunch at the sister resort. The Mayan Ruins tour was amazing to see history, but our favorite was the local lunch spot, Bennys and to be welcomed back with a bar drink :) We took full advantage of our snorkel days (Snorkel Team does great at pointing out everything and showing us different spots) and a cooking class with Ms. Jude. Ms. Jude and her staff are an amazing team. We stayed full the entire time from breakfast to dinner with lunch and bar snacks in between. The wait staff (Kayla, Armador, and Evelyn) always went above and beyond to make our meals so special and the bar staff (Ervin, Omar, Jess, and Santiago) made us amazing cocktails and gave us lots of laughs! We took full advantage of the Spa where we booked a couples Swedish Aromatherapy Massages, in which the staff left us feeling relaxed and ready to take on the day. Lastly, we had a private dinner on our last night which I highly recommend for couples. It is so nice to relax in a cabana and have a romantic private dinner. I wish we could have stayed another week and I hope we can return soon! We loved the entire experience and the team we interacted with. Bella and Alex made you feel right at home every day from the moment you arrive. We are so greatful for!

Just got back from 8 nights at Coco Plum Island Resort and loved it. At this time of year the rain and sand fleas can be overwhelming but when you leave a resort and it brings tears to your eyes to say goodbye to staff because they made you feel so amazing than none of that stuff ever even matters. From Bella meeting you at the pier with your welcome drink to the bartenders - for us it was Omar, Irvin, Jess, Santiago (all amazing) and another thank you to Irvin for being my chariot ride when I rolled my ankle in stupid heels!!! Literally drove me back to the Cabana and helped me up the stairs. The waitstaff all knows your name from the first meal you eat - Kayla and Evelyn were unbelievable and we looked forward to every meal. The staff here is like no other I have experienced. Ms Jude's & Ms. Kim's culinary experience all week long was one not to be forgot. Bella's yoga class with the waves coming in was amazing and Alex running Sunday Funday was amazing -hint to future guests - you can't chug a beer faster than Alex! :) Would definitely go back. Sunrise photos are amazing. Thank you for a wonderful time. Steve & Peggy

Coco Plum was everything we envisioned and more! We did a lot of research on where to stay for our honeymoon, and Coco Plum checked a lot of boxes for us: all-inclusive, adults only, tours included, great reputation/reviews, etc. I’ll start with the food, it is absolutely delectable, every single dish from breakfast to dinner and the bar snacks in between. The desserts were my personal favorite, especially the pastries as they were always so moist. We never went hungry, and even contemplated on getting the smaller portions because they’re so generous with the portion sizes. Ms. Jude and her kitchen staff are angels. The restaurant staff is just as fantastic. Kayla, Evelyn, Amador and everyone else are so friendly and kind, and ensure over and over again that you are satisfied. The bar staff are also super great. Irvin, Omar, Jess, and Santi took care of whatever we wanted and made great cocktails, especially a Rumrita! The local beer included in the all-inclusive package - Belikin - is a great beer too. The island itself has plenty to offer. We took part in stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, and the corn hole and ladder golf, and lounging around of course. It’s easy to make friends on the island and just hang out and drink and chill too. We had positive experiences during the off-island tours, and Jose was a rockstar in handling the zip-lining/tubing tour. And man this just wouldn’t be a proper review without mentioning Big D! He drove us around all of Belize on the tours and this man is a national treasure. Try to sit up near the front of the bus on the tours so you can talk to him. The snorkeling trips were the highlight of the trip for me! Lyndon is an amazing guide, full of charisma and stories, he was definitely a standout during our stay. Finally, Bella and Alex are fantastic hosts of the whole experience. We truly felt cared for by them, and they set the tone for the rest of the staff who were just fantastic. Overall, it was an ideal experience, and we would totally do it all over again!

It was excellent. Your Staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. Everyone was wonderful, and the food was superior. The snorkeling on the reefs was as great as we anticipated. A real treasure. Our Trip to Cahal Pech, Mayan ruin, was also terrific and very informative. We enjoyed being able to walk in the rooms of the ruins, and get a good feel for the palace and grounds layout. It was wet, and slippery enough, that we were not sorry we missed the trip to Xunantunich because of the high river water, preventing river crossing. Miss Jude's cooking class allowed us to bring home a piece of Belize (a recipe) without physically taking anything from the country. One of my favorite ways to remember and re-live our trips.

Everything exceeded our expectations! The staff really make this experience next level. The island itself is beautiful and just the right size. You feel secluded enough to have escaped, but you will not feel anxious about anything. Everything has been well thought out and taken care of. The food (every single item!) is fresh and deliciously made. I’m a foodie, but my man is not as adventurous…and he loved it all too. We have already started planning our next stay!

I wish I could give them 100 stars! We came here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. From the second you are picked up at the airport you are treated like family, Big D was our driver to the boat ramp and he made the beginning and end to a long travel day more enjoyable. You take a short boat ride to the island where the staff (Alex and Bella) welcome you for brief introduction and a delicious cocktail. Allen helped us with our bags and anything else we wanted to do around the island. Omar and Irvin bartended for us, we aren’t big drinkers but they always had our cokes and ice waters ready for us. The wait staff is incredible, Amadore, Evelyn, and Mark are one of a kind, literally bringing us room service in the pouring rain and sometimes in the dark. Never once complaining, anything we asked for, the response was always the same, “that’s no problem.” We were just planning a one time trip for our honeymoon but I am already looking to book for next year! There is no reason to vacation anywhere else. I can’t leave a review without giving Ms Jude and her kitchen staff a shout out, seriously the best food we have ever had, every meal was awesome and never the same. The islands amenities are great, rooms are clean and spacious and the housekeepers work very hard daily and it shows, we never had to ask for anything to be replaced. The island is beautiful, but take a snorkel trip with their crew, they are all so smart and knowledgeable about the reef and wildlife. It was so nice to walk around the island and everyone knows you by name, every night Alex would check in with us and see what we wanted to do the next day and make sure we were getting the most out of our time on the island. I could honestly go on forever, just visit Coco Plum, you will know exactly what I’m talking about.
