We stayed in the fire tower, and nothing compares to waking up to the sunrise above the trees. We had a great time cooking out the night before, and we were very comfortable in the tower, even though we had quite a wind storm. Climbing down for bathroom facilities is the downfall, but you do what you have to do....

This was one of the most amazing experiences we've ever had. The stay in the fire tower was something we'll never forget. We aren't campers at all, but we had so much fun pretending like we were! We truly woke up in the clouds, and we can't wait to do it again!! Words can describe this incredible experience. Highly recommend...

This places is great. We stayed in Cabin #4 I believe, right beside the lake. This place will take you back to the old days - no running water in the cabin but rather you have to go to the pump right outside the cabin. This cabin was perfect - porch swing on the front and outhouse out back. You...

The forest offers pioneer guest cabins; a four(4) acre lake for trout, bass and bluegill fishing; a small campground and 11,684 acres of lush woodlands for hiking, hunting or communing with nature.
