If you are looking for a cheap sleep close to the college with a retro motel vibe and home cooking restaurant, this may meet your needs. If you want a hotel with modern amenities such as in-room coffee maker, best to drive to nearby Elkins or Clarksburg.

Wonderful breakfast. We were sorry we went elsewhere for dinner. Do not miss the biscuits for breakfast and judging by the look of the pies, you should try those too. I would have done so, except that I'm not a big eggs, ham and lemon meringue or rhubarb strawberry pie for breakfast fan. Ladies working there are great and very friendly.

The room was clean, with fridge and microwave, but there were some little things wrong. Someone had removed the battery from the overhead smoke detector and left the battery compartment open. The top of the toilet tank was offset, and looked like it had a scratch that could turn in a crack in the porcelain. The tv remote worked, but some of the channels weren't operational, so the remote should have been reprogrammed to ignore those. The tv guide card of channel selections didn't correspond to the actual channels. There was no breakfast. I reserved through Expedia. I called the day before to note late arrival, and it turned out they hadn't received the Expedia reservation. Had I not called, I might have ended up without a room. I have never had this problem with an Expedia hotel before. So if you reserve through a third party, call the motel to verify. All in all, it's an ok place for an overnight stay, but not outstanding. However, the restaurant/diner next to the motel had lemon meringue pies with the most highly piled meringue I have ever seen in my life, although I didn't try a piece. The mashed potatoes, which I did try (to go -- they close at 8 pm), came with butter substitute and were also ok but not outstanding.

It was the worst hotel I ever stayed at but it’s the only one in town if I was u then I would stay in a different area all if possible. There was black mold found they don’t clean or change the trash cans or rooms. The people that work there don’t take there jobs serious they talk crap about customers and don’t help u with anything we stayed for three weeks of hell because we couldn’t find another hotel thank goodness we just went to another hotel but the three weeks ruined our vacation and stressed us out I’ve never done a review before but I wouldn’t want to stay there if at all possible the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and my husband stays in many hotel with no problems or any complaints about anything I mean it’s a hotel it’s supposed to be a safe place to sleep but really it’s a loud nasty hotel that makes u disgusted I couldn’t sleep the smells and filth are disgusting there’s no call for not cleaning up a place like they never once cleaned our room even when I hung the sign I had to go up and ask and they said they didn’t have housekeepers and I said well I’m not paying for a nasty room and they didn’t care at all. A horrible experience and a nasty environment

We were in town for 2 nights for a family gathering in 2019. The hotel was a bit dated, but very comfortable. The location was perfect. The little restaurant that shares the parking lot was also very good. Will stay here again for the next family gathering!
