Though it sounds trite, the Lowe Hotel is like a remnant from the Victorian past. It’s a sprawling thing with cavernous ceilings, narrow, lengthy corridors and unexpected living spaces on each floor. In many respects, the venerable Lowe has a spirit of its own. There’s an elderly decadence about it. You feel like the hotel has been waiting for crowds...

If you like Holiday Inn type of stays, this is not your place. If you appreciate old buildings and find unique stays charming - this is the place. Hubby and I decided to drive with Pt Pleasant as our destination. We ended up with a suite o we looking the Ohio River. Our own bathroom, two bedrooms and a sitting...

After visiting the Mothman Museum my friends and I ventured over to see what it looked like inside. The rooms where immaculate and themed in various time eras and historical elements. The staff was nothing short of amazing !! Will definitely be back for a stay !! This is a must stop !!

Stopped in today to talk with the owner of this property and the staff kindly took us on a tour! We had NO idea what we were in store for! The owner of this hotel is doing everything right! She has put extensive detail into each of the rooms and we were simply blown away! She has styled different rooms...

Point Pleasant WVA is a very interesting place and is foremost in the History of our great county.I think it was George Washington who changed the name from pleasant Point to Point Pleasant where the Ohio river and one I cannot even spell come together. A mural along the water front shows lots of scenes, most notable is one that...

Worth a road trip. History, mystery, curiosity. Any of those are good reasons to come to Point Pleasant, WV and this is the THE place to stay. It's almost frozen in time, a large 4 floor hotel with rooms decorated in unique ways to compliment the time period of the hotel, ghost stories are plentiful and the back looks out...

My wife and I stayed at the Lowe Hotel the night of September 30. While we both love old-fashioned small town hotels, the Lowe Hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel didn't have to be restored because it has stayed the same for years - charming, quaint, and very comfortable. The owners are delightful and will make you feel very welcome....

We just spent the weekend at the Lowe hotel. It was awesome!! The hotel itself is charming and the owners were wonderful and couldn't have been nicer. The bar that is attached is also very nice. Our rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. If u stay here ask to see the art gallery. It is a hidden...

My mom and I love Point Pleasant. I don't know why, there's just something charming about the town. The park with it's swings and benches along the river are so charming. Every year we go for River Days, or I guess they've recently started calling it the "Regatta," which is a bit misleading since there are no boats...I digress... anyway,...
