While the rooms are of average size for this caliber hotel, cleanliness is well below average. The halls and stairwells can stand to have housekeeping attention. The lack of an elevator can also be cumbersome when bringing in several travel bags. The receptionist wasn't very personable either. Having never been to this area before and getting into town late, dinner...

My husband and I have been traveling the last 9 days with a small dog and it can be difficult to find a pet friendly hotel which is clean and decent. The Quality Inn in Ripley, WV hotel is by far one of the best hotels that we encountered on our trip. Clean, comfortable and a good free breakfast for...

There are very few motels in Ripley, WV. and the Quality Inn is a safe choice as the mid range selection. Our room was probably recently redone and was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast offered quite a few choices which made our stay here a really good value. This property offers 'inside' and 'outside' rooms; meaning access. We had...

The hotel seems to be undergoing some significant renovations and I (possibly lucky) scored an updated room. Everything about the room was fairly new - with the exception of missing molding around the door frame that left a large 3/4 inch gap around the door into the hallway. it is not a stellar hotel by any means, but for a...

We arrived without reservations and were greeted by a pleasant young woman. The room was a disappointment however. It was fairly clean but shabby and the chair had stains. The shower area was too small to easily close the door. The towel bar at the sink was pulled loose. The bed appeared clean but the frame was shaky. Breakfast, though...

I really had a rough time with deciding on just how to rate this hotel. First we have stayed here several times. It's a midpoint between home and our favorite vacation destination. The price can't be beat. The lobby is lovely with beautiful inlays in the tile floors. The rooms are really where I get conflicted. It appears they have...

We checked in on Friday night and very pleasant stay. Only bother was the lights from outside shining in room and couldn't get curtain to close to make darker. Clerk was polite and made me feel very comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable. Stay was perfect.

Pros - price, quiet, hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, gravy, waffles, fruit), comfy bed and blanket Cons - rug could have been swept better and the place desperately needs new wall paper - stained/dirty walls, unpatched holes. With a little TLC, this could be a 4 star easily.

I'm not. But I do like a room to be clean. The few photos are the ones I shot upon entering our hotel room. After this I was just frustrated. The bathroom was worse. Hair in the tub and on the floor. Toothpaste splatter on the mirror, not a lot but it was there. And urine on the underside of...

Nothing out of the ordinary...if you don't mind staying at a low-quality motel. Definitely not what I expected for the price and website photos. Fairly clean, no smells, but unsafe cords plugged into a power strip hanging between two pieces of furniture. And the coffee maker was in desperate need of being cleaned - inside and out. Small roaches in...
