My husband and I were married and held our reception at the Mountaineer Hotel. Many of our guest were from out of town and were totally mesmerized by how beautifully everything had been restored. Even guest from the area who had never actually seen the inside since all the renovation were totally amazed. When you stepped through the door you...

This place is quite amazing. I had never been to Williamson so this was a first all around. We stayed in the JFK suite. It was wonderful. No the rooms aren't like Holiday Inn but you won't get to stay in a place that has so much history. The lobby is BEAUTIFUL. So close to great restaurants. Everyone we met...

I've stayed here probably a hundred times as I visit Williamson on business. Absolutely love this place. Feels like I'm going back in time. Staff are courteous and helpful. Owner has an office on the first floor. Feels like home.

The Mountaineer is a pleasant historic hotel within easy walking distance of a good dinner (Starters- which needs some vegetarian/fish options) , breakfast (Tracks End- try the omelets) and the Pocahontas trailhead. Each room is different-- ours had a massive whirlpool tub and stylishly updated bathroom with shower. It's fun to check out the displays of town/hotel memorabilia, morning coffee...

I worked in this area for months, and loved this hotel. Each room has a different famous name beside it. They say all of the names on the wall were people who have stayed. Names like Henry Ford, Hank Williams JR., and even JFK. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend to anybody who was in the area.

This lovely old hotel has more charm and character in one room than a network of modern chain- hotels - and that's what we loved about it. Conveniently located with handy parking we found the room roomy, clean, comfortable and cool. They are named after 'famous' people who've stayed there which was fun. The lobby area floor was being refinished...

The pricing for this jewel located in the small town of Williamson, West Virginia is unbelievable! Clean, historic, convenient and safe parking and the wonderful customer service from Edna and her staff are top notched. The banjo music as you enter the lobby sets the tone for a wonderful stay! I have stayed there twice and have recently booked my...
