While we saw the 1 review from 2021 that was poor, we had hoped it was a one off. Unfortunately, this hotel is not well taken care of at all. Our room wreaked of urine for 3 solid days, when our keys worked to get in that is. On arrival to our room there was no toilet paper, no facial tissues, no soap at any of the sinks, no sheets for the pull out couch, to name the most obvious problems. The room was dirty with numerous carpet stains. We were here on vacation for an event and made due because there are no other nearby options. When we return to the event we will not stay here, we would be willing to drive an additional 20-30 miles if necessary. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Filthy. Shrimp shells on floor, smoke alarm not operable, carpet dirty. Poor breakfast. This is no longer a Best Western!!!!! Do not recommend this hotel at all. Used to be nice, not anymore. Closest true Best Western now is in Eagle River. It’s a shame because this hotel used to be nice.

We booked thinking it was a Best Western. Found out that the hotel is now private and boy do they cut corners. Hotel was very dirty, rooms, bar and breakfast area. I never saw a cleaning person wiping down tables in between diners. The breakfast was really nothing, bread and cheap bagels put in a regular baggie, not sealed. I could not find drinking water, learned you had to get it at the desk and pay for it. The room was dated, dirty carpet, worn out linens on the bed, refrigerator did not work and was full of water that spilled out. There was an odd smell, almost like something was always burning. The bath towels were small, almost like a hand towel. The faucet in the shower had very little power and was almost like a drip. This hotel is not covid safe. Ice machine in lobby was an open lid, so people could put their hands right in the ice. The fact that nobody was wiping down anything and no one was wearing masks, the dirty eating area was disgusting. Lastly, the management was extremely unhelpful and rude at times saying that this is how the hotel is run now, since they are not with Best Western anymore. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a safe and clean hotel.

Wish i could add photos of the dirty stained carpet in our room. Shower head broken, USB ports all spotty, bathroom shower vent not working. Fridge jus plopped on gloor with microwave, coffee machine and hot water pot jus stacked on top. Nobody otger than me and receptionist were only ones wearing masks and they had a sign that ppl must wear masks yet ppl behind me checking in didnt wear any and the receptionist never told em to put one on. Bar open, pool open and lounge all open for Covid breeding grounds!!! Would not recommend Crandon BW to anyone!!!!

We booked the jetted tub room so we could relax a bit. Was excellent. Super room with separate sitting area. We ordered pizza from the bar, it was delicious. The rooms are quiet and clean. The pool area was clean. I would definitely stay here again.
