When looking for a place we looked up a lot of places. When we found Gypsy Villa, I looked at the comments and also called to check out the concerns. I found Greta (the owner) and Dean (her son) to be very open and honest. They recommended a cabin based on the information I gave. We stayed for a week,...

Our cabin has always been extremely clean and comfortable. We have benn coming for years! I love the 70's old fashion look. And everything is in good shape. The piers supply excellent fishing if you don't have your own boat, or rent theres for a reasonable price, although, a row is supplied for free{ the kids have a hoot with this)...

If you are looking for a luxury vacation then go to Lake Geneva and pay 300-400 a night. This is for the outdoormen's getaway who want a nice Fishing pontoon to explore beautiful Cranberry Lake. We had 6 guys who wanted a fishing excursion that inlcuded 2 clean kitchens, 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, 2 fireplaces, 2 living rooms, two grills,...

If you expect luxury, this is not the place. HOWEVER, if you want the beauty and fun of the Wisconsin Northwoods or just a week on the water, then this is the place to go!! For kids, YES, there is a swimming beach, there is tennis, basketball, indoor video games (antique, but still fun), airhockey, etc. The hosts sponsor a...

I loved it. The cottages are outdated interior wise but come fully equipted. They look like little houses. I enjoyed my time so much as over the past 26 years we have had 5 generations stay in the cabin we were at.. brought back so many memories for some. Such a quite place to stay and the scenory is beautiful....

We were curious as to why there were few good photos of interiors; we probably wouldn't have chosen it for our stay had we known. We thought it would be more like an actual resort so we were disappointed. The cabin was cleaner than most hotels (I travel with disinfectant and wipe down all the fixtures, remotes, switches, and bathroom...

My wife and I have stayed at a few places in the Eagle River area. This place is by far the best place i've been to. We've been to a place where we've had to pretty much pack everything from pots, pans, kitchen appliances to our own sheets. Yeah, yeah, yeah anyone who has stayed here would say the decor maybe...

I have had the opportunity to come to Gypsy Villa several times over the years. First with our 8 year old daugther. We stayed on the island. She loved the freedom to wonder and explore playing with the other children. Coming from Chicago-land area it was not always possible for her to do that . It was a truly relaxing...

First impression of Gypsy Villa was the grounds and office. Very outdated. When we checked in, the office was so cluttered you could hardly see the counter. On the website we were promised privacy and private beaches. With two small children wanting to swim and no beaches; very frustrating! Cabin was clean but very outdated from the 70's. No water...
