So, we just spent 17 days with Terry and Michelle at Boulder Lodge. We had a great time. They are welcoming and friendly and will do anything for you (including backing your 5th wheel in your site for ya) We got to know many of the seasonal folks and they welcomed us and made us feel like family even though... We camped at Boulder Lodge just 23 miles east of Hayward in the Chequamegon National Forest. The full hook-up campsites were very well maintained with much brush between sites, so they were nicely secluded. . The Lodge itself is really nice. It is an 1880's original logging cabin that has been beautifully restored serving light food with a bar. The... More

Stayed in one of the cabins for a few nights and enjoyed it. We made use of the screened-in porch, grill and fire pit. The cabin was comfortable and spacious. It was nice to be TV/internet-free for a weekend (though I believe you can access these things in the lodge, if you'd prefer). The boat launch was nice and close... More

Camp sites were spacious, Showers and bathhouse recently remodeled all new facilities. Owners very friendly and accommodating. There were 3 campers in our group and we all had a great time. I would camp here again.

We camped at Boulder Lodge for 2 weeks. The campsite was spacious, wooded and private. Michelle and Terry, the owners, are friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The grounds are very pretty and the lake is gorgeous. We enjoyed the lodge-bar and restaurant. We are hoping to return next year. The only... More

In the Chequamegon National Forest a great place to start fall pursuits of Northern Wisconsin recreation. They have a bar with light faire type of food, soup sandwich. We stayed in our own RV trailer at a very reasonable rate. We could have had full hookups but did not. They have a new shower building for RVer's and campers plus... More

This is one of those out-of-the-way, up-north fishing resorts that has an outstanding bar and food. Rarely advertised, a word-of-mouth following. Rustic bar with a dining hall and porch filled with memorabilia of the area's early logging and fishing history. Service is laid-back, friendly and attentive. We'll often take out-of-town visitors to experience the Boulder. On this occasion, we celebrated... More
