It's pretty expensive for a pretty basic motel room, but the rooms do have refrigerators and coffeemakers, and the location is great! I was the only occupant during my stay (early in the season)so I can't speak to noise problems that others mention. The furniture (bed, sofa, table and chairs) was comfortable, water pressure in the shower was good, web...

We have stayed at the Island Inn every year for the past 5 years and always have a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and well cared for. The price is higher than other places we have stayed, but everything on the island is more expensive, so not out of the norm for the location. We have had friends travel...

Not to be confused with the much more expensive Inn at Madeline Island, the Island Inn is a little motel located about 200 steps from the ferry dock in quaint LaPointe. It took several stays over a few years to slowly come to appreciate the special qualities of this lodging place. While a 5 unit inline motel may sound ordinary,...

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in late July. I tried to find a room or cabin that was rustic yet clean and comfortable - this room fit the bill! We stayed in room 5, which was on the end of the motel. The location of the inn is great, as it's within walking distance of pretty much...

This is the only motel left in town on the Island, and it is spendy, but then everything on the island is because everything has to come over on the ferry. Since summer is the busy season, that is when they have to make money. The motel is convenient, less than a block from the ferry. Ella's breakfast cafe is...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend. The room was clean, had AC (which was good!), and all other amenities one would hope for. I didn't find a hair dryer, but I had brought mine. Location is awesome, as its right across from the ferry landing, and a short walking distance to anything in town....

First weekend open for season so not fully operational. Room was ready and adequate. Tv did not work. One would think that isn't important but with hardly anything open on the island it would have been nice. Not much of an off season discount. Great location from ferry dock. If going to Madeline Island, definitely go in high season! New-ish...

We stayed only 1 night on Madeline Island and enjoyed our short stay at the Island Inn. It is conveniently located a short walk from the boat dock, right in "downtown" La Pointe. The room seemed very clean, had AC, a fridge, coffee maker, decent bathroom. The TV had very few channels to choose from, but the office does offer...

This 5 unit motel looks quite nice from the outside. The rooms leave a bit to be desired. We stayed in #3, which had a double bed and a pull out for our 2 teenage boys. The room had a small refrigerator and coffee maker. The TV was difficult to use. There were actually 9 steps to turn it on....
