Just finished a lovely two night stay at Lucky Dog Farmstay. We really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and great location near New Glarus. The surrounding countryside is Wisconsin rolling farm hills at its best. When staying here you feel just like a part of the household, complete with two great dogs, and a yard of cats, chickens and goats!...

This is a great place to stay if you want a nice quiet retreat. The farm house has three rooms, two upstairs and one down stairs. We stayed in the downstairs, which has a private bathroom. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast is at the Cow and Quince Restaurant in town, a very short drive away. The food...

I was in WI for a conference near Madison, 3 nights. The B/B is about 30mins from Madison. I'm generally not a fan of rural America, but this part of WI is really pretty. Rolling hills, tidy farms. The BB is on a country road several miles outside of the small village of New Glarus. The host, Leann, was very...

Located out of town, it has trails that showcase the hills and valleys. The king room had the best breeze, perfect sleeping temp, and my wife slept like a baby (which is rare when not home). The restaurant, in town, served some of the best food I've had in a while (organic and local produce), with a progressive hippie feel,...

I loved our three night stay at Lucky Dog bed and breakfast. The hosts are so wonderful I didn't want to go. So relaxing, had wonderful walking trails, beautiful sunsets, great breakfasts, plus the goats are so cute. I love being in the country, it's so peaceful and quiet. There no better way to relax and center yourself again. This...

If you are in this area and want something other than some pretty average hotels, by all means head up to the farm. It's a short 3-4 mile out of town and completely rural. The drive out along the high ridge is beautiful. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was provided by the Cow and Quince restaurant in town, which...

Our room was comfortable and clean, the farm and surrounding area were beautiful and the hosts were warm and welcoming. The breakfast at their local restaurant was phenomenal. Getting there was a breeze with the GPS. My mother and I were in town for two nights to attend a nearby craft fare. My mother sells candles so due to the...

I am evaluating this property as a farm stay. This location is about four miles from town on a very high ridge. The view from the ridge is excellent. The stars are exceptional at night in a very dark sky that is great for those who like to view stars and planets. They have goats and chickens. The farmhouse where...

We stayed 2 nights at the Lucky Dog Farmstay and were so thrilled to have had the experience. We stayed in the Rindy Room, which has a queen bed plus a single bed, and it shares a bathroom with another room. This may be a drawback for some people, but we didn't mind at all. The farm is beautiful, and...

We stayed over a hot weekend in July and enjoyed our time here. Agree with all the previous comments - the farmhouse is comfy and inviting, nicely air conditioned, and Lori and LeAnn are welcoming hosts. Lori was happy to talk about the food and restaurant side, and LeAnn answered our many city-slicker questions about the farm. Their dogs are...
