It was a last minute decision to stay at the Grand Lodge resort/waterpark. Overall it was a great trip. The waterpark was the best part of the resort. It's a great size for "young" kids. It's a good size not too big or not too...More
We stayed from July 4-9th, and overall things were good. The facility is nice and clean. We did not get housekeeping every day, and so we ran out of toilet paper, and towels, that is the only complaint. Otherwise everything was good.
**I received an email response to my complaint from the assistant general manager, Jon, who apologized for the issues and sent us a certificate for one free night stay to see that this was not a typical experience at their hotel. I wanted to post...More

If you are comparing the Grand Lodge to the big waterpark hotels in the Dells - no. If you are looking for low key fun, an off-season getaway - yes. My son is 8 and he loved the slides, basketball in the pool, lilypads, water playground. For one or two days, there is enough to do but not like the Kalahari, Great Wolf, Wilderness, etc. The rooms were super spacious which is great when travelling with kids.
