Travelling down from Yorkshire to Portsmouth for the ferry we decided to stay overnight in the Towcester area. This is just a perfect B & B. Spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, perfect welcome of a cup of tea in the garden. Helena pointed us in the right direction for an evening meal at The Wharf near the canal. A perfect start... More

I landed soundly on my feet when I discovered this gem almost ten months ago and have stayed regularly since then. Helena is a superb hostess who has provided me with some beautiful poached eggs for breakfast. ( the full English is huge). The setting on a working farm is a fantastic location with great walks. The room is great... More

The first time we stayed was in Winter and I recall wishing we had bought our walking gear. This time in late Spring we (still had no walking gear) explored the farm land in all it's glory, cows newly separated from calves, lakes, swans with their newborns I could go on and on ....it was bliss. Of course to top... More

We have just had the most fantastic weekend here. It was a hen weekend which didn't throw our hostess Helena at all!! We had it to ourselves, all 5 bedrooms and she couldn't have been more hospitable. Rooms were fabulous, breakfasts great, only downside was I couldn't distract her long enough to steal the dogs who we only met at... More

My parents had already stayed here before on a very warm and sultry evening following my daughter's graduation from Northampton University last year. A chance for me to join them on a return visit yesterday was my lucky night. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, nothing was too much trouble - even when my husband called from home... More

Potcote Farm is a hidden gem. More of a country house than a farmhouse, it is easily accessible from the A4 yet set within with the tranquility of its own grounds. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, very clean, nicely proportioned and quiet. Breakfast is in the magnificent dining room, with its fine Georgian furniture, interesting art, and with wonderful views... More

Having just returned from Potcote Farmhouse with a group of friends I fell I should tell all about the fantastic hospitality we have received from Helena. The rooms are very spacious, set in rolling farmland, great walks, and only 10 Mins from Northampton, Just off the M1 and in a great setting. To finish it off the breakfast is probably... More

Stayed for one night with friends to attend a wedding anniversary party nearby. The welcome was warm, the rooms were spacious, clean and well kitted out. Helena was not misleading when she said that she cooked fabulous breakfasts. And the swimming pool was a real gem.
