I have been staying at the Plains off and on for 26 years and have experienced its ups and downs. I will not stay in the future. The linens are disgraceful and upon rising in the morning I found that the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. There was blood under one of the pillows. I was...

My husband and I stayed at this property several years ago, and had such fond memories that we wanted to stay here again. This property has such a historic feel - I definitely got the sense of being in the west - and I mean that in a most positive way! Scott at the front desk was a very friendly...

This is honestly a rather dated hotel, but it is full of interest. It is well situated in the centre of town beside the Depot museum, and there's lots of free street parking right outside. It was built about 1920 and has seen very smart gatherings in its time. The lobby has the original floor tiles, and the atmosphere is...

We stayed here recently and we'd give it three stars. Some people who are into classic hotels from by-gone times, especially old railroad hotels might give it a 4. Does have a cool old lobby. Other folks who prefer newer hotels would find it old, dated and a bit worn and frayed. If you do stay, a room toward the...

By far the best choice we could have made to hold our wedding reception. We can't say enough about how wonderful and professional James and the entire staff handled our big event. I came here for work and my visit couldn't have been better. The hotel was great and the bar was better! Our bartender Patrick took great care of us. Our drinks were never empty and moe importantly he was polite and treated every customer like they were the only one in the bar!

The Plains Hotel is a historic hotel. It retains a lot of the old charm of an older hotel. The hotel is located near a main square, and is only a few minutes from the capitol building. The lobby is the showpiece of the inside of the hotel. The beautiful stained glass is right above you when you check in....

Historic is correct, room not bad except for the window heater. It's either too hot or it's chilly the same with the shower water. Our main surprise was there is only street parking. We circled the block several times to see if we missed an entrance to the parking to no avail. 2 hour parking during the day and thank...
