Great place to stay if you are looking for pet friendly accommodations. The pet friendly rooms are ground level with doors directly to the outside. There is a great place to take your dog behind the hotel. During tourism season they offer pony ride and have a couple horses on premise. Horses are there during the off season too just...

Any time family comes to visit and needs a motel, they go to the Big Bear. Convenient to shopping and to Yellowstone, the Bear is reasonably priced, clean and comfortable, and alway friendly folks. Plus, the kids love the pony rides!

Only there a couple of hours. It was a very windy day & everything rattled, the door the air conditioner, & a metal grate thing on the wall. It felt like the place was going to blow down around us. We have since been told the wind is often like that in Cody. There was no way we would have...

An old-school good motel. It reminded me of vacations when I was a kid, including the giant bear at the front entrance. The place was clean, the rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable. The owner was friendly. Extra conveniences - like a laundry facility - made this a perfect stop for the Yellowstone part of our cross-country adventure.

Stayed here one night in November, going to Yellowstone. Excellent mattresses, clean room, very large. We were on the second floor. The motel is right across the street from good breakfast, and walking distance (AFTER drinks and steak!) from several excellent places to eat dinner. Theres a good gun store right across the street. Parking lot was clean, full of...

The hotel looks like any strip hotel found on any major road linking the cities in the West that isn't a main highway, but the rooms are surprisingly spacious and well-appointed. We stayed in a family room with a triangle-shaped bunk bed for the kids, which they loved. There was live music near the office the evenings we stayed there....

We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your time here at the Big Bear Motel! We work hard to make our guests happy, and receiving great reviews such as this let us know what we are doing right! We will have live music every evening this coming summer as well, so if you plan to come out...

Stayed here one night on our way back to NW Montana. Staff was friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. It's an older model but it looks like they have made an effort to update a bit. The shower here was super hot. We would stay here again.

This is an old motel...and it feels old. However, the rates are good and the place is clean. There is no breakfast served. The room has a refigerator and a microwave...there is wi-fi. Pets are accepted for a fee. The rooms feel small, especially if you get a room with two beds as we did. A great plus with an...

Motels are very convenient in such a way that you can park right in front of your room. We work hard to make sure your stay is clean and comfortable, because even though we may be one of the oldest standing lodgings in Cody, it is our duty to make sure we are the cleanest. Thank you for staying with...

We made our reservation for one of their new separate cabins. It is very basic but clean and quiet. We had the one next to the horse corral and were "warned" not to park to close to the horses :-). For a one night stay and a unique experience it's Ok but longer it would be a bit uncomfortable.

One of the things that makes our motel so special are our horses. We hope that you enjoyed their company, they definitely like meeting our guests! Thank you for choosing the Big Bear, perhaps we can accommodate you in a more comfortable room type the next time you are in Cody, we would really appreciate the opportunity to have your...

Stayed two nights with our two dachshunds (most every one staying here was traveling with a dog). Very clean, pretty good bed, rooms are small, but adequate. Has fridge and microwave in room, but no coffee pot, decent selection of channels on tv.

With many lodgings not being pet friendly, it is an opportunity for us to accommodate those travelling with their furry friends. Big Bear has pet friendly rooms, but also more room types than that. Thank you for staying with us, we appreciate your feedback and welcome you back the next time you are in Cody!
