This is an older, family-run property that might have seen a few lives; however, the current owners seem to be dedicated to resurrecting it into a very pleasant accommodation. We had a very pleasant and quiet room on the back side away from and above the highway. A good price and a fair value

To be fancy and charge more places call themselves "Inns." Think Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, etc. The Carter Mountain Motel has no pretensions. It is a motel in the classic sense. Not as new or fancy as some places but half the price. We arrived in town without a reservation. The clerk at a full place sent us up to...

Did not stay here, but received OUTSTANDING service from the front desk when making and subsequently canceling a reservation. We needed a room at the very last minute in Cody and made a reservation here. Did not stay as we found a room in a larger, more modern property. The room we found was over twice the rate at the...

Lady running this place is warm but out of touch with what ALL other motels provide One small bar of soap No trash can outside of motel. One old style key to room. Pillows like air cushions. Said room rate over 100.00 per night is because of Yellowstone. No coffee, piece of fruit, cereal juice ...nada for the morning. Office...

We stayed here one night, recognising that the cost of staying in Cody seem to reflect a tourist location that charges pretty high prices. Our unit was well-equipped and very clean. Able to park outside. WiFi was reliable. Excellent advice from Fran both before we arrived and on arrival.

Husband and I were "on the cuff" traveling and had no reservations since we had no idea where we would end up. Some of the places we tried in Cody were very expensive and not all that good. We stopped here and was welcomed by a lovely lady that was accommodating. She gave me a key to view the room...

Nice clean & quite. Not real fancy but everything one needs and a little more. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Every time we would see one they wanted to know if everything was okay. They offered advice for local events, restaurants and points of interest. Cody has grown since my last visit...

We got to town without reservations and were recommended by another hotel. The motel is nice, spotless clean and very friendly. We were on our motorcycle and they provided rags to clean our bike. The only downfall is the noise above you (2nd floor). When kids run on the landing it is very noisy. We would stay again and recommended...

We stayed in one of the apartments for 4 days while in cody exploring yellowstone and cody . This place is great and the owners are 2nd to none . Loved the bird and even though he didn`t get the bike ride he was looking for he loved us too. This place is clean and inviting and close to everything...

As soon as you walk in to the office you just know that Fran (and Peek-a-Boo the cockatoo) are going to take good care of you. While the physical plant has been around a while, everything is kept clean and in good operating order. The location is a bit off to one side, but Cody can get pretty busy in...
