Travelling through Wyoming USA heading into the famed Yellowstone National Park I came across this treasure of a place - the Longhorn. Set by the banks of The Wind River with picturesque red rock for its backdrop just outside the cute 1000 populated town of...More
It's become a tradition to stay at the Longhorn on our way from the Black Hills to Grand Teton National Park. We were in one of the rooms and I love the rustic yet modern feel of the place and the setting is beautiful. The...More
We booked an RV site to stay here to watch the solar eclipse but it was so enjoyable we stayed an extra night and would have stayed longer except for our pre-booked flights home.

What a wonderful place. The only con that I can find is trying to walk on the gravel as the rocks are a little to big. The pros: sites are gravel but level, the Wind River runs at the back of the park for fishing...More

Yes, Longhorn is very pet friendly. I took 5 dogs with me. Many people set up little fenced areas to give their dogs more room to run as they otherwise have to be leashed. They also have a non-covered kennel area you can keep your dog for a small fee. I opted for a boarding kennel in Dubois and it was atrocious! Better to keep them at Longhorn if you are planning a pet-free day in the national parks.
