We went to the ranch for the first time with 3 generations. Mark & Gretchen have a wonderful policy that 1 grandparent was free with 3 generations - this made my mother very happy (she even got on a horse). My 85 year old Dad...More
2015 was my third consecutive visit to the T Cross and I'm already making plans for a 2016 visit. Mark and Gretchen have created a wonderful place to escape from it all. Jay (the chef) makes the best meals, always something I enjoy. They bend...More

How much freedom did you have with riding? Was it "nose and tail"? Did you have the same horse the whole week? What would you say your riding level is and how did they accommodate you to make this enjoyable?
Thanks so much

We pride ourselves on accommodating all levels of riders and break our guests into groups of people who have similar skills. As long as a guest lets us know what they would like, we'll do our best to make that happen. If it's open riding you're after, just let our head wrangler know.
Guests are matched with a horse suited to their riding abilities and ride the same horse and saddle all week. On the rare occasions that a horse and rider are not a perfect fit, we have a herd of 65-70 sure-footed horses to choose from, and another horse will be assigned.
