Here’s what makes T Cross special for us (and we’ve been to other dude ranches): • Genuine hospitality of owners, staff, and wranglers • An awesome balance of organized activities and individual flexibility • High quality of horses to accommodate every rider’s skill level • Wranglers who grew up with horses, make the rides interesting, and gave us opportunities to...

Our family's vacation at T Cross in August, 2014, was superb. This ranch had everything. We were a multi generational family of 13, and every expectation was met. If you would like a ranch that is truly authentic and on the National Register of Historic Places, total comfort in the cabins, many beautifully trained and carefully assigned horses, lots of...

Visited with our two teen daughters and enjoyed a spectacular week of gracious hospitality and an authentic dude ranch experience. Mark and Gretchen have maintained the original ranch beautifully and bring real warmth to the ranch. This is not a resort (although my wife had the best massage in memory) it is vastly better. The riding, the campfires, the other...

I've been to more than a few ranches over the past ten years but my experience at the T Cross was the best ever. The ranch is in a beautiful setting. The staff was terrific. The wranglers were not only good cowboys but terrifically patient and exceedingly helpful with less experienced riders. The horses were sure-footed and the mountain trails...

Once you've decided on an American Western experience your job is to find a place that delivers on your expectations. The T-Cross ranch fulfills all your possible expectations. The cabins and main lodge were built in the 1920's and are meticulously maintained. Remember, this is not the Four Seasons. It is a journey back in time but not so far...

This was our third year of vacationing at T Cross. Once again, it was the most fabulous and relaxing vacation I could imagine. You get so disconnected there from the day-to-day. Being in nature's beauty and connecting with the horses allows one to think differently, see more clearly and have a different perspective on life. As always the food was...

Wyoming is a beautiful state to visit, and about 14 miles from the town of DuBois at the absolute end of the road lies the T Cross Ranch. The drive up to the ranch will take you through some incredible scenery, streams and natural landscapes. The Families that own and operate the T Cross have a lifetime of guest ranch...

T Cross is in a beautifull setting, surrounded by lovely views. The cabins are cosy and clean, the food excellent. The trail rides were varied and the gymkana was great fun, lots of opportunities to learn shooting, fishing and improve your riding. Difficult to pick out special staff because they were all good, wranglers, kitchen or general staff were all...

A warm welcome, a clean spacious cabin, wonderful food and a staff that is friendly and well trained. My husband and I loved the whole experience......even though I did not participate in any of the trail rides (a previous injury prevented this, darn it!). Great for families, singles, couples, old and young.

I just wanted to share what an incredible time we had. This far exceeded what we expected. Amazing trip. Warm, friendly cabin girls, wranglers, and owners. Amazing cook. The rides were beyond any ride we have taken in the past. Beautiful views. So memorable with the rain, sleet, snow, wind, thunder, lightening and mud!!!! Loved every minute. Great cabins with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The T Cross Ranch, located in the greater Yellowstone area, has been providing guests with an unforgettable all-inclusive experience for close to 100 years. Comfortable cabins are furnished with rustic elegance. Fabulous meals featuring made-from-scratch breads and organic ranch-raised beef satisfy every appetite. The surrounding country is unforgettable, with the Absaroka mountain peaks soaring to over 13,000 feet around the ranch. This land has been carved naturally by water, wind, and glaciers. Horseback is the only way to see this pristine country. With a string of over 60 horses, there’s the perfect mount for every guest. Our wranglers are experienced cowboys with literally thousands of miles on horseback under their belts. This is western riding in its purest form, the way it originated, the way few people experience it. ... more   less
