Staying at Jakey’s Fork B & B is like stepping back into the real West but with a comfy bed and big bathroom! This is not your polished log cabin with cathedral ceiling. You can see where someone from a long time hewed the logs. Was it a Swedish tie hack or a jack of all trades cowboy? When they...

My fiancé and I have traveled to various countries this year and have stayed at too many places to count. Our stay here has certainly been the most memorable. We loved the bunkhouse and the beautiful nature that surrounds it. It has everything you'll need for a relaxing stay: it is very clean, spacious, and stocked with kitchen and bathroom...

Five stars isn't nearly enough for 'the bunkhouse' where we stayed. You have to turn off the road, outside Dubois, so we really weren't sure what to expect as we drove along the dirt road and followed the signs. We were greeted by the most beautiful little cabin, just a few metres from the river. Carolyn had written up a...

Hi Helen, Just saw your thoughtful comments, thank you for taking the time to share. It was wonderful to have you come and visit and exchange stories. It turns out that when one has a rustic cabin to share - that only cool people show up. I was telling someone the other day - I wish I could host and...

Carolyn is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome. Found the bunkhouse to be a very restful location following a 400+ mile trip from Denver. Carolyn has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and was very helpful to us.

Jakey's Fork Homestead and B&B is a true gem in Dubois! The owner, Carolyn, is a gem herself! My boyfriend and I were warmly greeted by Carolyn at Jakey's Fork. She showed us around the property and gave us an overview of the cabin where we stayed as well as a provided a little bit of history about the homestead....

This is a little bit of heaven on the Jakey's Fork Creek. The cabin is so darling, the breakfasts so yummy, I never want to leave. Carolyn is pretty amazing too, she is welcoming, gracious and full of knowledge of the area. Lovin it!

We travelled from Fort Collins CO to Yellowstone and wanted a nice place a little before Yellowstone to stay. Ans it was (is) a great stay. A beautifull cabin next to the river. A historical place just outside a mountain sheep reserve. A great place with a lovely owner Carolyn where we had a very nice conversation with this evening....

Once in a blue moon you meet a stranger who seems like a long lost friend, Carolyn is that person! When our party of four returned from dinner, Carolyn joined us in the living room for a nice visit, accompanied by her dog, Sonny and cat, Pearl, both of whom enjoyed our petting. It was just like being at home...

Carolyn offers warm hospitality and yummy breakfasts. We stayed in the main house and found the rooms clean and the mattress very comfortable. The scenery is breathtaking. We spent hours after a day of fishing out on the patio, enjoying both our wine and the views. We look forward to our next visit.

We stayed for 5 nights in the bunkhouse towards the end of a trip through South Dakota and Wyoming and this was the highlight. Perfect location, great breakfasts and Carolyn was just the best. Dubois itself is a very nice little town with good restaurants, art galleries and museums.
