This place thought of everything! The staff is so friendly and helpful! Jim, Matt and Emily treat you like family. If I owned a lodge, these are the people I would want running it. This lodge is in the middle of nowhere and they have everything you need. The food is homemade and it's delicious. It is near all best...

My wife, our best friends and our dog stayed here and we were all CRAZY about it. Immediately after arriving we saw a calf moose. When we got to our cozy cabin it had everything we needed. When we realized we forgot beer and wine, they had it for sale at reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly and interesting...

I have lived near the Big Horn mountains most of my life (67 years) but just discovered this GEM! We had lunch and it was great (a bit pricey) but beautiful surroundings. Watched a moose out the front window while we ate. Service was super! We were allowed to see all the available rooms - for future reference. Rooms appear...

This place was the perfect setting for my niece's beautiful wedding. Our room in the lodge was very comfortable and clean. Our meals were delicious. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and accommadating. We took a long walk one morning and the land around the lodge is beautiful. We watched a female moose and her calf graze one evening. A...

I recently visited the Wyoming High Country Lodge with 21 hiking friends. It felt like living in a “different world.” The Big Horns offer the beauty of elevation, scenery, flowers, open space and a variety of hiking destinations. Emily, Tara, Matt and Jim each shared their enthusiasm for the area and for our choices of hikes and ATV trips. They...

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the lodge. Our cabin (the "Forest") was quaint and clean, the lodge was warm and inviting, and the managers/staff (Jim, Emily, Matt, & Tara) were exceptionally kind and gracious. We looked forward to returning to the lodge for our (great) meals and conversation before/after hiking in the mountains etc. As others...

My daughter's wedding at the Lodge was perfect. Jim, Matt, Emily and Tara (all staff) were so accommodating, enthusiastic, attentive and welcoming. The lodge and cabins were comfortable and clean. All of the food was delicious and plentiful. We felt at home and couldn't have asked for a better experience in the most beautiful setting.

Jim, Emily, Matt, and Tara are the friendliest, most hospitable hosts we have ever met. We had our rehearsal dinner and our wedding at the lodge and it could have not been more perfect. The staff, the venue, the food, and the scenery were more than we could have asked for! Thank you for making our wedding dream become a...

High country is a well kept secret, nestled in the forest of the big horn mountains. The food is incredible, there is no menu. Call to find out what's for dinner if it sounds good to you then go. You will not be disappointed. It a small dinning room, very cozy with spectacular views. The hosts are great and will...
