What a great place! Jim, Emily and Matt deserve 5 stars because they make this place very special. They do everything they can to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. They smile a lot. You sense that like what they do and where they are doing it. Admittedly the setting is hard to beat. The food is wonderful. We...

A few friends and I made the trip to the High Country Lodge all the way from the east coast in early March this year and couldn't have been happier with our experience. To start, the staff are top-notch and are incredibly welcoming. Jim, Emily, Emily, and Matt made us feel right at home and seemed to always be one...

If you ever had a dream of a remote cabin in a winter wonderland for all your snow sport needs...You've found it. Except the cabin in your dream is weaksauce compared to the WHCL. Exceeding expectations is the ongoing theme here. The staff are the nicest people in this galaxy. I'm pretty sure The Pope and Ghandi had a conversation...

Every year my husband and i come to the High Country Lodge. The current managers are fabulous cooks, great conversation and the view is amazing. We snowmobile in and always find snow. The terrain works for all levels. The lodge make us breakfast like eggs, bacon and something baked. They pack us a sack lunch and dinner is always filling...

If you were looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet in a vast, open mountain environment this is your place!! We trekked 25 miles in from Burgess Junction on snow machines to the lodge and cabins. This place is great from start to finish! The staff are top notch and have the right experience for this type...

Had the privilege of staying at this wonderful hotel for a snow kite week. The location is amazing, remote, peaceful. The accommodations are first class, everything was top notch, comfortable and clean. Food was a constant source of surprise, delicious and varied, especially for the remote location. But the service is the 5th star, the staff was extremely accommodating to...

We just returned from the Wyoming High Country Lodge and couldn't have been any more pleased with our stay. Jim, Matt, and the Emily's could not have been any more gracious. Jim met us at the Crystal Creek Parking area in the snowcat and drove us the remaining four miles up to lodge. The snowcat is older (1950's) and temperamental,...

Stayed for a week while at Bighorn Snowkite Summit. What a great location. The staff of Jim, Matt, and Emily, were amazing and on top of everything. The meals they served were great. I plan on going back for more snowkiting at some point.

I have stayed at the Wyoming High Country Lodge lodge in the winter about a dozen times in the last three years. I have seen many, many improvements during this time. I can unequivocally state that the new managers and staff are doing everything they can to ensure their overnight guests and day visitors are getting a great value and...

My friends and I spent 6 nights at the recent Bighorn Snowkite Summit and stayed in the Bear Cabin. The entire stay was excellent from the superb service, the comfort and especially the food - which was terrific. Cannot wait to go back.
