Very friendly people and I loved the room. Relaxed and casual. Clean and simple. Cafe/restaurant was great. Love small town atmosphere and activities. Great spot from which to explore the north coast and up into the hills.

It was a really quaint and cute property with a wonderful mission that's hard to beat. The Hub restaurant has such delicious food and I will never forget the Zapote, Coffee, and Peanut Butter smoothie. This is my favorite part of the Big Island and I highly recommend staying here.

Rooms are beautiful old time Plantation style. Decorated very nice, and very comfortable. Stayed while visiting family nearby. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed to buy flowers for a funeral and they provided contacts that could help us. This is the second time we stayed here, and we will be back again on our next visit.

Little restaurant tucked into the middle of a village center. They didn't have their liqueur license yet or I would have given them a 5 star. They use local products to make amazing food. My three children (10, 9 and 6) are every bit of their food. Nice setting and a real taste of the laid back Hawaii you want...

Decided to check out the Hawi region in our first day in Hawaii. Luckily TA research had told us of this place. Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Handy location. Great place to unwind before hitting Kona

Stayd for one night at the Inn when driving around the Big island. The rooms are spacious and nice and we had a small fridge, but no air-condition only a ceiling fan. Great staff and the bar/café had breakfast one could buy. Hawi itself is a small village, arrived on a wednesday and almost everything was closed.

Hawi is a quintessential small town on the Kohala coast, and the Kohala Village Inn is the perfect match for the town. It's a quiet inn one block from the major intersection and shops. The inn seems to be run as a training ground for locals, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The run was not air conditioned,...

The Kohala Village Inn, part of the dynamic Kohala Hub centered in Hawi was a delight during my brief "vacation" from my life at home. Though I live on the other side of the island, the inn provided a clean and comforting refuge for my two nights alone from my daily responsibilities of life! Staying in the kai wing, I...

he Kohala Village Inn is much higher priced than the other hotel in the area - the Kohala Club Hotel. However it is an elegant place with airy spaces, fresh paint, wood floors, and a pleasant inner courtyard. We liked it a lot - until tonight. The Inn, despite quite high prices, sees itself as something of a community centre,...

Mr. Miller, Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us at the inn. I completely understand your frustration with the circumstances and that is the reason we discounted your stay. The inn reflected the typical Hawi small traditional vilage lifestyle. Comfortable and homely, the wooden buildings exuded rural peace. Located in a rural area, it fits in nicely with the ranch/farm ambience of the picturesque villages. Beds were comfortable and linens clean. Towels were unexpectedly thick and new. The bathroom is small and the shower does not allow for much...
