This hotel is very outdated despite trying to update. The carpets are old and everything smells like old cigarettes and mold. To compensate for this they heavily over perfume the place which causes allergies and asthma to be a problem.

I'm not a sports bar fan, so I don't have much to suggest. The Grand Naniloa has a bar with a TV, but the bar is very popular with local residents, so finding a spot to watch might be a challenge. Have you checked with Cronie's (11 Waianuenue Avenue, Hilo (808) 935-5158)? They're the only sports bar I know in Hilo, but perhaps they can recommend someplace for you.
