Hilo Honu Inn was perfect for our vacation. Our host, Gay provided so much more than just bed & breakfast. She shared her love of Hawaiian culture and history and even danced the hula for her guests at breakfast! Located within comfortable walking distance to farmers market, downtown restaurants & museums. We also enjoyed the view of Hilo Bay from...

Hilo Honu Inn is by far the best bed and breakfast I have stayed at. This house is all Hawaiian. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious with great views. At night you can hear the kokie frogs talking. The house sits at the top of a hill with amazing views of the ocean and a beautiful sunrise. Gay has immersed...

Thank you, Gay Very comfortable rooms with a sitting area. We stayed in the Bali Hai suite. Easy walks to Hilo restaurants. Gay is a gracious host who shares a lot of island history and culture. Did I mention the delicious breakfasts! We would definitely return.

The Hilo Honu Inn is full of history ,charm, grace, and warmth. It was literally the last room at the inn for me for business over Valentines weekend. Every hotel and B&B was booked within a 30 mile radius. Its a great location and the views are a bonus. I have lived on the Big Island for over 30 years...

This is what you stay at a B & B for. It's NOT an over-big hotel/motel commercial establishment. It IS a true smaller neighborhood Bed & Breakfast with real Hawaiian aloha. You will feel as though you are staying at the home of friends, within walking distance of bayfront shopping. Also nearby are waterfalls, beautiful gardens, a farmer's market and...

She provided us with directions to any place we wanted to go on the island. She is also an accomplished Hula Dancer. We will definitely stay at the Hilo Honu Inn again if we return to...

Very nice B&B with a great location in Hilo. Room was well-furnished, extremely clean, and just quirky enough to be charming. Owner Gay is very friendly, cooks a great breakfast, and is extremely knowledgeable about the area and Hawaii in general.

Hilo Honu is located in an historic house just up the hill from downtown Hilo. It is well maintained for an 80 year old mansion and is nicely decorated. It is located in a dense neighborhood on a fairly busy street- although not routinely an issue. Parking is available on site in a nice tropical setting. We stayed in the...

She provided a lovely breakfast and asked all guest what time worked for them before scheduling our time to eat. I would recommend this BB to anyone that enjoys a quiet and clean place to stay...
