We stay exclusively at Waimea Gardens during our annual trips to Hawaii, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the neighboring property (formerly housing the 'Doggie Dude Ranch') had been purchased by a very nice couple whom we also had the pleasure of spending some time with.

Stayed in the superbly equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated Ohana suite. If it's not to be found in this suite, you don't need it. Fresh breakfast makings provided in the fridge every day, and a fully equipped kitchen. Barb and Charlie Campbell have created the perfect getaway. Near enough to everything, but still back in the greenery. And the Campbells...

On our last trip to Hawaii, we were unable to stay at Waimea Gardens B&B, a highly rated B&B on the big Island. We made reservations well in advance and we're delighted with our stay in the garden studio. It is so very private that it feels like our own private Waimea chalet.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waimea Gardens Ambiance - tucked away off the 19, the Waimea Gardens are within a mile of downtown Waimea, which is located at 2500 ft elevation. It is a 15 mins drive to the Hapuna State Beach and the coast. The property is quiet, private and beautifully landscaped - Bed and breakfast -...

It wasn't the best start to our holiday. I'd emailed in advance to ask for an early (11am) check-in. No reply. And when we arrived, we were told that we'd have to come back at 3pm according to policy. Fortunately, the rest of our stay was just superb. Other reviewers have already commented on the property's lovely location and its...

We stayed in the Kohala Cottage, which was quite luxurious. There is a small entry room, then 2 steps down is a very large room with a full kitchen and sleeping, sitting, and dining areas. Off that is a dressing room and a huge bathroom with 2 showers and a whirlpool. There are 2 lanais and, off the bathroom, a...

Barbara and Charlie Campbell have put down firm roots at this delightful area. They stay in the main house and have several options/cottages to choose from. The Ohana Cottage is roomy for a family of four with a great backyard view of the hills and running creek. It has a full kitchen too, very airy. We stayed at the Garden...

The owners are wonderful, the rooms are a delight, there is nothing I would change about Waimea Gardens. Stay here! There isn't a lot to choose from in Waimea, and this is a hidden secret. I almost don't want to give it away.

Waimea Gardens is a lovely place to stay. We booked the Garden Studio, which is very private, beautifully decorated with wooden floors, a big comfy bed and a small kitchen unit with a fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. A few steps lead to the bathroom area with plenty of storage room, a sink and a great rain-head shower....

This is not your typical bed and breakfast. Once we checked in, we did not see the proprietor again. Breakfast is provided in the refrigerator, and our room came with a microwave and coffee maker. Fresh eggs (from the property, I think), fresh papaya, bananas, juice, milk, English muffins and jam are supplied every day. The room is spacious and...
