I was not disappointed. Read the "musty" comments, no problem. They get a lot of rain her, what do you expect? We had a huge room and bathroom, sit down shower. I liked it a lot.
The weather was great, cool, damp, windy. Very refreshing.
What a unique place in a spectacular setting. We were the only guests in the Inn both night we stayed there. The room was very spacious and homey. I walked about the property and it was like exploring an abandoned world so obviously very quiet....More
We stayed one night in the Hibiscus Room and enjoyed our stay. We always like places that have some history and feel more connected to the place than cheap hotels. The room was larger than expected and nicely appointed. As others have mentioned, there were...More

It used to be a bed and breakfast but they stopped doing that in 2006. However I recommend that you stay at the Waimea Country Lodge. At the Jacaranda Inn my husband and I got bit really bad by mosquitos after about a week it didn't get any better so we checked out and stayed at the Waimea Country Lodge. In the same parking lot there is a restaurant called Paniolo country Inn and just about a mile down the same street is Hawaiian Style Cafe and they to have really good breakfast.(The Cafe is cash only, but well worth it).
