I stayed at the Pineapple Park Hostel for two nights on 11th and 12th of May 2016. I booked online a single room ocean view and I got it. The first night was ok. The second one was a real nightmare!!! I went to bed at around 11pm and turned off the light of course! After probably 15 minutes, I...

Found this place by chance and happy to have done so. Was pretty cheap and was placed in a room with three girls, which was fine. The showers were pretty cramp but clean and the toilets clean too. There is a large common area and at the time a few people were around, but the place was large enough that...

After a wonderful week on the big island I dropped off my travel buddy at the pineapple park hostel. I had 2 hours left until I had to return my rental car and get on my flight. After kindly asking, if I could use the showers and brush my teeth before my overnight flight, I was quite surprised to hear...

I stayed at the Pineapple Park hostel recently for my visit to the big island and I was personally pleased with my time there (a whole week). First of all the price was definitely affordable, especially compared to having stayed at any hotel or resort which would have been quite costly for 7 nights. I particularly liked the fact that...

This hostel was one of the weirdest hostel-experiences for me -and I have traveled a lot! It is like staying at your weird, neurotic and greedy aunt's place :D Positive: - place was relatively clean - room was relatively nice (not as nice as in the the pictures here though) - warm water in the shower - easy access and...

We had taken an ensuite room with lanai at this “hostel” and were very pleased with it. The lanai had a nice comfy sitting and eating area, and though we had to use the communal kitchen for making tea it was not a problem going downstairs. The room had its own fridge which was handy. The view is amazing from...

This is a large hostel a little south of Kona, great if you want to escape the touristy part of town. The price is great and the place is pretty clean. However, the "please don't masturbate in the shower, put drains are getting clogged" gave me pause. The atmosphere here is nice, with people down to chill at night.

Please change management (Annie)!!! The hostel is actually beautiful and nicely located and would be a nice stay under any other circumstances. Couple of issues: - contacted the hostel twice via email to confirm that we will check in around 10pm +/- due to late flight, even provided flight number and got the ok. Arrived 10.07pm and nobody could be...

Stayed here for 4 nights in January '16 in the dorm. First the good stuff: great atmosphere, clean, quiet time 10pm-6am is observed, you can pay by credit card, there's parking space and a washing machine. Not so great: location (far away from everything, except the cptn Cook trail), cold nights in uncomfortable beds, the general attitude of the owner....
