Kalaekilohana is a beautiful bed and breakfast near South Point. Kenny and Kilohana are wonderful hosts and I love that they built this house themselves. We stayed in the blue room. I think each room is more or less the same besides having slightly different "themes". Our room was really big with a small private balcony and huge open bathroom...

Less than a month ago, my husband, adult daughter and I had the pleasure and privilege of staying with Kenny and Kilohana at Kalaekilohana for a week. We brought home a treasure of memories of hospitality, comfort, amazing food and a taste of what living in Hawaii could be like. During the week, we enjoyed breakfast each day, pizza night...

My wife and I stayed at Kalaekilohana for three nights as we visited our child at the Pacific Quest program. Kenny and Kilohana are real gentlemen and fine hosts. The inn is very nice and and is calm and peaceful. It was a nice oasis during our visit to PQ.

This is one of the nicest B&B I visited and my world travel experience justifies me making this claim. The hospitality, one can experience the moment you walk in the door, is of a 5 star level. You will be greeted by the two owners who are well traveled themselves to know what a well traveled guest should expect. They...

I can only repeat what everyone else has said. It was home for a couple of days. These are good and interesting people who are a delight to talk to. We are a vegetarian couple so originality was necessary with food. Breakfasts were terrific, and we had requested food both evenings and were not disappointed. The first evening was a...

We have stayed in quite a few Bed & Breakfast inns, however we have never had hosts as warm and welcoming as Kenny and Kilohana. From the moment we arrived until they stood on the front porch and waved as we left, we felt they were glad that we were there. The breakfasts were all unique and quite amazing, a...

Along with two other couples, we stayed at Kalaekilohana B&B for a few nights. Kenny & Kilohana were simply amazing, offering great hospitality and provided a very comforting stay. Each day, K&K welcomed us with a warm greeting and the best local coffee; Breakfast and dinner was fresh and truly-a work of art!!! K&K recommended all the 'must see/do' places/sites...

People visiting Hawaii generally adopt one of two modes for travel: the all-inclusive-hotel style, or the less touristic route of B&Bs or cabins. Kalaekilohana is the perfect blend of both styles. Although promoted as a small Bed and Breakfast on the more remote southern side of the Big Island, it is nothing short of luxury and service. The owners, Kenny...

We celebrated our 30th anniversary with Kenny and Kilohana at Kalaekilohana Inn and could not have enjoyed our time there more. The house is traditional Hawaiian with warm rich earth tones throughout. Each room is immaculate with a private balcony overlooking the beautiful rural countryside with large comfortable beds I could have slept forever in. The large showers with the...

We had an excellent time here, combining relaxation with a little hiking, swimming and volcano watching (after driving around the island on the first day). The house and rooms are beautiful and the enormous porch/veranda with armchairs and sofas is a fantastic feature. The hospitality provided by Kenny and Kilohana couldn't be better. Excellent breakfasts (tasty and healthy) and Kenny...
