Wanted to set the record straight after the most recent reviews. Yes, this is not functioning as a yoga retreat at the moment, I stayed here as part of the work trade. And the place is currently up for sale. The manager (Serena) is a great manager, you always know what to do next, where you stand with everything, and... More

If you decide to do the work trade...be sure you are okay with dirt, filth, etc. The owners, supervisor shows lovely rooms for you..as well as the guests...but in reality...there is dirt, filth everywhere...and poorly kept. They are trying to sell...and good luck with that. Whomever buys will have to put thousands into the 'fix up'.. My room had bare... More

I stayed here a several years back for two weeks, and I would never recommend it as an accommodation ( Hayward the "Yogi" proprietor in residence sourly verbally condemned me daily for making my own cup of coffee from my own supply of coffee and filter drip cone. Coffee was then clearly NOT a "Yoga Oasis approved" beverage. ( Yeah,... More

This place was excellent, but it's not for everyone, which is why I went with 4 stars. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave great stories and recommendations about the town. We were able to get good food and watch some local musicians play at a bar in town like locals. It's also located near amazing tide pools and swimming... More

We wanted to book our vacation to this retreat, but they put us through nightmare! We travel a lot around the globe, but we have never seen such rude and non-reliable bunch of people. They promised us one thing and one price, but as we said we booked the tickets they raised the price, cut down on services, and said... More

Hayworth & Remi made us feel very welcome. We texted them upon landing & dinner was ready when we arrived (yummy, fresh vegetarian food for $20). It was a very peaceful place with lovely grounds. Chickens & wild (baby) pigs on site as well. Bring earplugs as the coqui frogs are super noisy! Not recommended to stay overnight if you... More

My family (8 of us) spent 5 nights at Yoga Oasis (because I love yoga!) & we stayed in the Buddha House. We were all blown away by the tranquil feel of the house and the beautiful Eastern furnishings and touches. Everyone's highlights were the outdoor shower & sleeping with amazing sounds of the jungle/nature. Last but not least, our... More

Was there as part of a group. It was like going back to camp. Place is solar powered so it is possible that a drain during the day might mean no internet at night - the solitude from electronics is healthy!! Yoga classes were unlike anything I have ever attended. Had a private yoga massage - another first and am... More

The place is within one of the last "pure" pieces of forest from the region, great place to rest and hear some "nature" sounds at night. Also, they have Yoga classes everyday from 8am to 10am, the teacher - Hayward - is one of the best I had the pleasure to take classes with.

This place may not be for everybody... but the yoga is first class! Star & Eugene are both excellent and patient teachers. And if you want to get away from the glitz of Kona and have a feeling for the what Hawaii is all about, Yoga Oasis is that place! I would also recommend it as a great couples get... More
