I spend five nights in the “Wild Ginger” room in the “Lava Pond Lodge” in December 2016. The whole stay could be described using simply one word. Fantastic!! I felt like home and being integrated in the family. The housekeepers Regina and Darius are gorgeous. You could expect a great breakfast with fresh fruits and special items every day and...

Super MAHALO NUI LOA for your wonderfully kind review, Alex! It was so fantastic getting to meet you and getting to help you plan your awesome daily adventures here on the Big Island (as well as help you plan a little for your quick trip to Oahu). I am beyond happy that you had such a memorable experience here at...

We stayed here because this place is literally 10 mins away from the volcano national park where we got to drive up at night and see spectacular lava sights. Regina was very friendly and gracious. Our room was very well set up with a light music playing in the background, a dossier of helpful info on all things in Volcano,...

Big Mahalo for your review! I am so happy that I was able to make your trip to the Big Island a great adventure! It was lovely getting to meet you both and I enjoyed getting to chat with you guys about Hawaii as well as about the crazy snowy weather in Oregon! I am also thrilled that my grandma's...

My wife and I chose this B&B because there were no hotel rooms available. In the end we considered ourselves lucky to have resorted to a plan B&B, if you'll forgive the pun. Regina, the hostess, obviously loves running a B&B - she was gracious, chatty without being intrusive, and she has an encyclopedic knowledge of the sights that Regina...

I enjoyed, very much, getting to hear about your cool adventures and appreciate how much my information came in handy! I am super happy that you folks enjoyed the Lodge's comforts and my breakfasts! We had a lovely stay here - Regina was very welcoming, room was nice & cosy and the breakfasts were great! Would highly recommend staying in Volcano for the easy access to the Volcano National Park which can easily take multiple days to see.

I chose the Lava Pond Lodge for its location and reasonable price. What a jewel of a place! It is nestled in "the jungle" only about 5 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. The rooms are comfortable and inviting, and beautifully decorated. Our hostess, Regina, is a friendly warm person, and very knowledgeable about the area. Her breakfasts were delicious! Different...

This B & B in the Volcano area of the Big Island is a great place to stay while visiting Volcanoes National Park and surrounding areas. Regina and Darius do all that they can to make the setting relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast is highlighted by perfectly ripened papaya boats filled with fruit salad. Bagels, muffins, toast, hard-boiled eggs, and...

Mahalo Nui Loa for your review! I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us at the Lodge! I owe all my fresh fruits to my pal, Remi, at the Kea'au Farmer's Market! Regina makes Lava Pond Lodge the perfect place to stay when visiting the National Park. We stayed 5 nights and it was a highlight of our time in the Hawaiian Islands.
