This was our second stay at Lokahi Lodge. We stayed in the upstairs loft. It was spacious, comfortable, and super close to Volcano National Park. Nice kitchenette with mini-fridge & microwave and sink. Plenty of storage. Big dining table with 4 chairs. I wish we'd had 3 nights instead of one.

We arrived after check-in closed, but the keys were waiting for us in an envelope at their central office, so all worked fine. The lodge is a little dated as some other reviewers have noted, but it was so well kept that it was a bit of a time-travel experience to the decor of another era rather than being unappealing....

We recently visited the Volcano National Parks and just needed a simple place to stay and found the Lokahi Lodge. The rooms are quite basic and the bed relatively comfortable. That's ok I suppose. However!!! When checking in we were dealt with by an unfriendly man on reception who wasn't really helpful with the area or what was going on...

Great location if touring HVNP. It's well priced, not a chic, high end accommodation. This is a small, house size property. Very well equipped room though. Nice shower, mini fridge, coffee maker, comfie bed, hot tub, patio overlooking very pretty, lush garden. Really everything you need. The office is at a different location so there is no service at the...

In an environment where mold is more common than a day without rain, this place was refreshingly dry. The decor is dated but everything worked and the bed was comfortable. There is no food served on site but Volcano is so small there are cafes and restaurants near by.

I first stayed here 12 years ago and when I returned to Volcano with my family I had such good memories I booked three rooms for three nights. It's changed a bit. The large common room is gone, along with the breakfast rolls and coffee I remember. But the rooms are still comfortable and the birds are still singing in...

I stayed at the Lokahi Lodge during a recent stay on the Big Island. At the time, I was distinctly unimpressed with the property. Seemed expensive for what you get - a queen room without aircon for USD150 per night. In hindsight, we'd just come from luxury digs and after a frankly treacherous drive across a fogged in Saddle Road,...

The room assigned to us in the lokahi lodge way exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, tastefully furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. We left 2 chargers behind. But the manager mailed them to us promptly. The property is very conveniently close to the national park & there are 3 good restaurants nearby including one located in a sister...

This lodge met our needs to a T. We needed a nice room near the volcano for just one night. It was a charming room. There are only about 9 rooms in this building and there are no services. The check in is in another location and they were real helpful, especially Solomon. Restaurants are close by and this is...

We have just checked into Lokahi Lodge. The view from our window is amazing. The room is vey spacious, tastefully furnished and way better than what I had expected from the reviews. There are 2 huge beds, a kitchenette, a dining table for 4 & I had only requested a room for 2!
