My wife and I spent 6 wonderful nights at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott in March. We had a great 4th floor ocean front room with simply amazing sunsets right from our lanai. The property was under construction but since we spent most of our time sightseeing it was no bother for us. We arrived just prior to them walling off...

We stayed here for our first two nights in Hawaii. There was some construction on the property, but it did not affect our vacation. Check in was done in the business center and the gentleman at the desk was very kind and efficient. He upgraded us to a cabana that was away from the areas that were being refurbished. Our...

My family of four had an amazing stay at the Lagoon Tower overlooking the dolphin lagoon a few years ago, but this review is for my stay last week with a group of elementary school students and chaperones who were housed in the Ocean Tower for one night. Upon arrival, the bellmen in the porte cochere were quick to offer...

We were booked to stay here 4 nights last week. We stayed only 1. We knew there would be some renovation work happening, but not everywhere! The lobby, what appeared to be a restaurant space and room renovations in both towers. During the day it was impossible to avoid the sound of hammers, saws, etc. For all of this we...

The Waikoloa Beach Marriott is a hotel with great potential but in need of tremendous TLC. The hotel is currently under construction. The south tower is being converted into timeshare units (with no full kitchen and no barbeque grills planned) and the rooms in the north tower are being renovated. Construction noise is intrusive, frequently intolerable, and expected to last...

I have gold status with Marriott. I own points and two weeks in their vacation club and I've stayed at Marriott hotels all over the world and on all of the other islands in Hawaii. This one was a disaster. We got a double room when we were promised a single, the place is under construction so it was extremely...

We were well aware of the renovations and they were not a problem. The pool and grounds were pristine. Perfect sunset view. Our room renovation was completed and the decor is beautiful. One functional note is the lovely " Asian screen" look from the bathroom to the bedroom is very attractive, but when the bathroom light is turned on in...

Really disappointed; reserved a "mountain view" and received a 1st floor view of..?..a backyard footpath and the parking lot for Enterprise rental cars. Bummer. There was construction in progress was not a big hassle directly but that may have shutdown rooms available. What is just bonkers is this: it's "beachfront" but guests cannot use the property's footpaths to the beach...

Aloha and thank you for taking the time to post your comments. On behalf of the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, please accept our apologies for the challenges you experienced during your stay with us. The beach and footpaths are not actually part of the hotel. The decision to limit access after dark was made by the landowners. As...

Beautiful property and location. Courteous and friendly staff. Noisy most of day with construction - entire property - supplemented with gas powered weed whacking @7am Monday morning... idiots! Corridors are loud and doors designed to slam louder than any imagination could come up with. And I am in a renovated/nice room on 5th floor... Great pool and area. Beach ok...
