The Kauai Country Inn is a STEAL. My husband and I almost felt bad for only paying $125/night for a unit in Kauai with our own kitchen, large patio and Apple computer. The innkeepers have really thought of everything. (For example, you not only have a computer in your room, but a camera card device to upload and send your...

A preface: The purpose of our visit to Kaua’i was rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. We wanted a quiet, peaceful setting, the opposite of any hotel/resort environment, and we didn’t care if we were right on the ocean. An additional requirement was a kitchen. My wife has an extreme gluten allergy, so traveling anywhere is a challenge. After a lot of...

Waking up in a rainforest happens early the first time you do it. Enjoy the new world that envelops you from 3am, or else bring earplugs. It is true that the drive here the first time seems "so far" and into the middle of nowhere, but the island is small and relaly you drive about 12 miles to get here....

We just returned from our two week vacation on Kauai where we spent our first three nights at the Kauai Country Inn in the Plumeria Suite. This was our 9th visit to the island and we wish we had found this place sooner. The peace and quiet were just what we needed to unwind from our hectic lives and start...

We stayed in the Green Rose Suite from April 18 - 22 and had a fantastic time. The suite is gigantic and very well decorated...tons of personal touches everywhere. We loved falling asleep in total quiet and being woken up early by the roosters. We found the location of the inn to be perfect - about halfway between the north...

We stayed in the Green Rose suite and loved it. Mike and Martina are warm friendly people and try hard to make your visit pleasurable. If we needed something the maid was there in the mornings early and she was very quick to get you anything you needed. We were there 2 weeks and had a well equipped kitchen with...

Thanks for reminding us about the water pressure - we've just ordered a water pump that should help the issue :-) The hot tub was damaged in the last storm and we are awaiting parts that have to be shipped from the mainland. One of the inconveniences of living in the most isolated island group on the planet is that...

My wife and I just returned from our trip to Kauai, and our wonderful stay at Kauai Country Inn. We went to the island primarily to hike the Kalalau trail, and so had only booked a suite at Kauai Country Inn for the second half of our trip. Upon arrival and getting our rental car, we searched for a hotel...

We stayed five days in the Green Rose Suite. Although there were other guests at the Inn, we felt we were there by ourselves, and enjoyed the privacy. Green Rose is spacious, and has a well-equipped kitchen (I think the oven is ready to be repaired or replaced. The problem came up at an inconvenient time, I only used it...

I want to sing the praises of the Kauai Country Inn. My boyfriend and I and two of our friends stayed there from Feb 8th thru Feb 11th. They are located in Kapaa up in the hills. Our accommodations were wonderful. We rented the Plumeria Suite. This can be rented as a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom. The bedrooms are beautiful. The...
