Having long been a fan of the Aston Beachboy next door, I decided to give the Islander a shot this time around when I found out the former was fully booked. Mistake. We were first put in a room in the building beside the ugly exterior of the Kauai Sands next door. We took one look at the moldy, mildewed...

Good morning and thank you for your review. I can understand your disappointment when comparing Islander on the Beach to the property which is now Kauai Coast. They are a time share property and don't have the same problems we have with the building next door to us which has been an eye sore for a number of years and...

My wife and I came back to this hotel because we had a great time here a few years back. Upon arrival we checked into a nice room at the edge of the beach, with nice views of the beach. The senior management at the hotel was very nice throughout the stay. However there are several issues which prompt me...

Aloha and good morning! It's raining today and I too feel like crying when I read your comments. Parking continues to be a problem and we hope to remedy with some alignment of parking spaces, i.e., compact cars in an area to increase the number of spaces. I do agree, any additional is a must. I have reported security to...

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice, but a little on the small side when you have two people and luggage. The property was very nice and well maintained. The only complaint would be the limited parking at the property. If you came back to the hotel after 8pm you had to get...

We had a room with a view of the ocean. Room was cute and filled all of our needs. Best part of it was watching the sun come up from our lanai. The front desk people aren't that nice though.

While some people will complain about the steep, tiny beach, once you get to Kauai and realize that there are very few beaches that will safely host the hoards of people that would normally fill them, you get an appreciation that you have beach access as well as a centrally located hotel on the island. Coconut marketplace is within walking...

Kauai is a wonderful island if you just want to get away from it all - it is called the garden island and this is exactly what it is The Aston was only small compared to some of the other resorts - but the pool area, the beach, the location were all first rate. parking is free for hotel guests...

We were greeted very nicely by an over worked front desk person who started our stay off very nicely. I wish I could remember her name, but you could not ask for anyone more friendlier. Our room request was honored and we were on the top floor – beach front. Yes, it is quite a hall carrying your luggage up...

Aloha and thank you for the wonderful review. Guests who choose to stay on the second or third floor have to take their luggage up the stairs as There are no elevators. It can be difficult for some, but once in your unit, the view is spectacular, especially from the ocean front units. My apologies for the problem when you...

My husband and I just returned from our annual trip to Kauai. We love the Island of Kauai, the people, it's lush beauty and pristine beaches so much we feel compelled to visit yearly. We stayed at Islander on the Beach since we've stayed there in the past and it only seems to have improved with time. The unit #144...

We stayed at Aston Islander on the Beach from Sept. 1 through 8 and found out that this place is centrally located on the island. The coconut market place is just a walking distance- you do not need to drive and you will find most things you would need. Main shopping could be done at Safe way or WalMart. We stayed...
