My best friend and I are students at the University of Hawaii and she decided that she wanted to travel to all of the accessible islands by the end of the school year. The island of Lana'i was one of the last islands she had to visit so I decided to tag along. We are broke college students and the...

Here are the latest details of this campground: (1) we didn't make reservations and got there around 5 pm(Saturday to Monday) and found 3 of the 6 campsites available. At about 8pm a worker from 4 seasons came around to check everyone and we paid for our campground thru him. It's still $30 to book per party and then another...

Stayed here in 2007 and can't believe it's already almost been 10 years between stays. Our memory of Hulopo`e was of a nice, quiet beach of the Hawai`i of old. Between Kapukahehu Beach on Moloka`i, Hapuna Beach on Big Island, and Hulopo`e, we like Hulopo`e because you can camp just across from the beach v. driving to back your campground...

This place is the best. A little pricey (30 permit fee plus 15 per person per night) We paid 90 for a 2 night stay as a couple, but it really doesn't get any better. You can make reservations but probably don't need them. Host is a 4seasons employee and is super friendly and accommodating. He even brought us ice...

We stayed there two nights in mid 2011, so I am writing the review a bit late. The campground is maybe 20 minute walk from the ferry. Really no need to look for the ride. Just walk left side from the ferry, around what looks like a little park, take left and you are there. Grounds are very well maintained...

While on the island of Lana'i we stayed at Hulopo'e Beach Campground for two nights (Feb.9 &10). The camping area has picnic tables and outdoor grills; I believe we were told no fires are allowed on the ground. The camping area is just a few yards from one of the nices beaches I've ever been to. There rockwall bathroom facility...

Last month we decided to visit Lana'i and after hours of research we agreed on 2 nights of camping at Hulopo'e Beach and 1 night in a hotel (it would have been a last minute decision after we arrived). We enjoyed the campgrounds so much, we decided to camp there the entire 3 nights. The campgrounds are very well kept...
