I was quite pleased with the accommodations at the Hana Kai Maui Resort as you felt like you were staying in a cottage. Although the kitchen and living room were small, you had all that you needed for a comfortable stay and the kitchen and...More

This is expensive for what you get (comparing with other Hana accommodations). Go for it if you don't have any cheaper options. We stayed here as we didn't want to drive back on the same day after hiking pipiwai trail. Restaurants are a mile away....More

Staying in Hana is the best way to visit this area of Maui. In the past I drove back and forth from Kaanapali Beach in one day. Staying at Hana Kai makes the stay magical. The sunrise from the beach on Hana Bay is spectacular.

As a previous review stated, in this case it was the journey AND the destination that were top notch. We stayed in Honokalani # 201 (corner unit, upper building). Great view of the black rock/sand beach. The unit itself was over the top cute ~...More

Thank you for such a passionate review! Unit #201 - Honokalani is an upper floor corner unit in our Mauka building. It is classified as oceanview (not oceanfront), but because it sits on the hill the view is magnificent! Susie

If you drive the road to Hana, stay a night or two at Hana Kai. This is our 3rd time to stay there. You can start out later from Kahului, say 11:00 am, and have fewer people to deal with. Then experience Hana and Hana...More

...and we hope to see you again. Mahalo for your review and for your repeat business. 2 nights is recommended. So many folks stay 1 night, but wish they had stayed longer! We have 4 intimate beaches in Hana, worthy of spending a full day,...More

We do not have "roll-a-way" beds. Studio's only sleep 2 people, but the 1 bedroom units have either a hide-a-bed or a futon couch. We also have little fold up futons, but I don't recommend for adults. Susie Hana Kai Manager

The oceanfront units (#1 - #5) have a 180 degree view of the water. Our upper floor oceanview units are higher on the property and have a great view, looking over the roof of the Oceanfront building (units 201 - 207). 201... More
