Where to start? Very dumpy from the start but it was a good price in a place with few options and I was traveling with a woman that had never camped. What a bad idea. I've seen far less bugs camping. The furniture in the common areas looks like a heard of Great Danes once inhabited it. Loads of ants...

Joes place is more like a hostel, you get a private room with shared common areas and for only $50 a night and being right next to hana bay, you shouldnt ask for anything more. The lenin and towels are clean.if you want a better place then you have to pay for it but I'll worn you now, getting a...

Pictures are deceiving. The outside looked ok but the inside tells a different story. Five bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs and three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs; beds lumpy and old. Bathroom leaks through walls. Living room smelly and furniture dirty & old. Kitchen infested with ants and roaches, the range hood was gross, fridge had a nasty odor. Eating...

We stayed two nights and two night to long. If you are a backpacker and absolute don't care and no money - it is ok to sleep there. But if you need to cook or stay there a bit longer - it's not to recommend. The tv room smells old because the furniture is so old and in the kitchen...

I stayed for a night in January 2015. Ed is a nice guy who lives next door and has turned this building into a 8 room rental. There are 5 rooms upstairs and not sure if the 3 down are all rented out. The location is good and he is very responsive to requests. The place has deteriorated since our...

Joe's is quiet and well located. I fell asleep each night to the sound of the ocean outside of my window. Towels, soap, comfortable pillows, linens and blankets are provided in each room. The owner, Ed, is a very kind man and made me feel safe. For women travelers this is crucial. Ed provides free coffee grounds in the kitchen, so guests...

The place is much nicer than I expected after reading lots of review. It's not as nice as the $150 places near by, but it's very comfortable. I stayed two days. There was always a bath room free and usually two, very close to my room. I didn't use the kitchen, but it's huge and lots of room in the...

We stayed 2 nights and we loved it! The manager Ed has been very nice, friendly and available for our questions. We had a big bedroom very clean and lovely prepared. The shared bathroom was next to the room and was clean too. There is a big living room, kitchen and a large garden. The price was very affordable, and...

We had booked the 2 nights and only stayed one night. We got refunded for the second night. The hostel was very dirty, the kitchen was so dirty that we saw a cockroach right on the kitchen counter. When we told the owner that we wanted to cancel our second night because of that, he was very rude and did...

we are a couple that balance splurges while on vacation and this was not one of them- we just wanted a place to sleep for the night before heading over to the pools and Pipiwia Trail and this fit the bill. We got the room with it's own bathroom/shower which was just $60 with free parking and no extra hidden...
