We stayed in Kaanapali for 7 weeks. We jumped around between the Sheraton, Marriott Ocean Club and the Westin. All were nice but this was our favorite! Dawn checked us in and Peter helped us with our luggage. We felt right at home instantly! Both so friendly and excited to see us. All typical hotel questions were answered at check in and we were provided with some extra info that was helpful. Beautiful swimming pools (6 total I believe). 2 water slides. 2 adult only pools and 1 adult only hot tub. Food service was great in the restaurants and pool side. The grounds in general were stunning! Shout out to SHAUNA!!! You can find her in the pool area wearing a turquoise shirt and always smiling. Shauna was so attentive, welcoming, knowledgeable, and just fun! If you go to Waicoco for breakfast you'll be happy that you did. Good service, great coffee (I recommend the French press). Eggs Benedict was uh-mazing as was the scrambled eggs were just as tasty. Bacon is thick and cooked to perfection, just fyi. Westin, we'll see you next time we come to Maui!…
We were so happy to see the completed renovation of this property. We visited a year ago while construction was continuing on the bar and restaurant area. The completed renovation makes this property the best on Kaanapali and in our opinion the best in Maui. It is a perfect location and the bar and restaurant are located close to the ocean for amazing views. Our room was wonderful and the beds are so comfortable. We look forward to visiting this special property every year. The menu in the Hale Mo’olelo bar is delicious and so fresh. Our compliments to the chef and our server Guadalupe who remembered us and our favorites, she definitely went above and beyond. Another thank you to Joven at the front desk who always takes such good care of us. All of the staff are amazing and it shows how much they enjoy working at this top-notch hotel. …
THE WESTIN MAUI RESORT AND SPA delivered more than what we were expecting and helped made our 37th wedding anniversary truly memorable. The hotel surprised us upon check in with an upgrade to an oceanfront room coming from an ocean view room and for six days and five nights (January 31 to February 5), we were living our dreams in this tropical paradise, front row and center to the spectacular view of Kaanapali Beach, the Lanai and Molokai mountains, the ocean, the sky, the whales, the sound of the sea from our own private balcony. The newly renovated hotel has lush tropical landscaping with pink flamingos, koi ponds, water lily nympheas, mini waterfalls, two fun slides for adults and kids, warm pools with separate levels for families and for adults only. Our favorite place to lounge in aside from our room were: 1. The LANAI club area exclusive to those staying at the Hokupaa Tower. We would have hearty breakfast there everyday (like Portugese sausage, egg and rice or the iconic loco moco (burger steak, gravy, eggs and rice, tasted some tapas style finger food for lunch, and yummy appetizers like Ahi poke during happy hour. In the LANAI, we would watch the sunset and the Hawaiian ritual that goes with giving thanks to the day that is about to end like the lighting of the torches and the playing of the conch. We also enjoyed whale watching and dipping in the infinity cocktail pool while sipping my Mai Tai, and reading our books while comfortably lying down on the beach beds overlooking the ocean until we doze off. 2. We also loved the adult only infinity pool perched on the higher level of the resort with a view of the ocean. The water was really warm, and the sand on the pool ground feels like we were swimming in the ocean surrounded by lush tropical trees and flowers. During our stay, only the Hale Mo' olelo restaurant was open but we were so pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of food! We loved the Tsunami ahi poke, the Loco Moco, the Original Maui burger double patty made of maui beef and topped with kalua pork, Blackened Prime Ribeye and the Seared Scallops/ slow roasted pork belly surf and turf. The BEST part of our Maui memory at the Westin were the people who welcomed us and treated us like family, making sure we were having a great time without being pushy. KUDOS especially to Mae Castillo of Guest Experience, Joseph and Greg of Lanai and everyone else. WE WILL BE BACK. Every year! MAHALO!…
The staff (particularly Kevin w/guest experiences, Kaui in the Lani’i, Shawna and Jeff at pool guest experience services provided guest experiences beyond anything that I have ever experienced. I felt valued as a guest beyond my greatest expectations and the steps that the resort staff took to ensure that guests and staff were safe in these uncertain times was exemplary and a model for others to follow. I whole heartedly recommend a trip to Maui to stay at this amazing resort. With the current testing requirements, it has to be one of the safest places on the planet. Please plan to visit this amazing resort and have a well deserved vacation in paradise!
This was one of the best trips of my life. Unbelievable resort. I almost never leave reviews but this was above and beyond. Grounds were amazing, resort was amazing. And the flamingos?? Just forget it. Perfect beach at your doorstep, and the landscape was amazing. The lanai is also next level. Shout out to the big bosses Ryan and Chris for making it happen this trip. Extremely attentive and helpful. Not robotic at all like some other resorts. Thanks all for this surreal trip. Wish I could stayed a month!
