Truly loved our stay at this great property. It is older, but clean and very quiet. The studio was plenty big for the two of us and even had a dinner party with family staying next door. All 6 were able to enjoy dinner on the lanai. My one and only complaint was unit specific. We will comeback but not to this unit unless they lower the lock on the thermostat to a temperature cool enough to allow sleep. 74 is unreasonable. Best advise: book here but make sure they don't lock your thermostat at a sweaty temperature.

We rented a unit here for 5 nights. The walls are paper thin and we had a neighbor who SNORED all night--totally unacceptable situation. When we asked for a room change, we were told we were out of luck--no availability. There was also tons of noise in the parking lot just outside our room--felt like the people outside were standing next to us talking! This resort charges way too much for what is offered. They even expect you to do part of your own maid service as you're leaving--strip bed, empty trades, etc.. How disappointing!!

The Napili Shores Resort is a nice option to the high-rise hotels in the area. The setting is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The facility is well cared for, clean and had everything needed. The swimming pools were lovely, inviting and comfortable temperatures. We especially enjoyed the view and area around the lower pool nearest the ocean. We used the laundry facility and it worked great. Our particular unit, F245, suited our needs (two of us), and although it could sleep a couple more (sofa bed), would not recommend the unit for more than a couple. One bathroom, small and a bit outdated/worn, but was fine. The full kitchen was well-equipped. The single bedroom had sufficient drawer and closet space for our stay. Would have loved room-darkening curtain since the outside facility light is right outside the corner bedroom and it provided significant nighttime light. The second floor location provides a vaulted ceiling so the unit feels spacious. Not overly important to us, but if you're big on newest and updated look, this unit might fall short in that part. Otherwise, this was a nice place to stay and we hope to return. Enjoyed the lanai overlooking the grounds with a partial ocean view. The unit provided boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella, which was great. The facility itself has large, stainless steel gas grills and picnic tables for cookouts/food preparation and I observed employees meticulously cleaning these in the mornings. There are some happy hour promotions at the on-site restaurant with the fastest service and great food. There is also a small "sundries" store where all kinds of snorkel, surf equipment could be rented. Very convenient. All in all, so glad we stayed here!!

Clean(ish) but old and overpriced. There are nicer places for the same price. Surcharging is common. We booked through hotels.com and paid for the agreed upon price months ahead of time. When we got to the hotel they overcharged above what we already paid because "the tax went up" That's not my problem.... You can tell they're really into cost containment here. Update: housekeeping has not been here all week but decided to actually open the door without knocking and come into our room 20 minutes before check out time this morning. Really?

We have been to Maui a couple of dozen times and decided to go back on fairly short notice. The property we normally stay at didn't have availability for the duration we needed so we began looking at other places for a two nights before moving to our normal place. Since we always go to the Gazebo at Napili Shores for our first breakfast, we chose to give the Napili Shores a try. We selected a garden view studio condo. We weren't expecting much as we knew this was an older property. Upon checking in we were given an ocean front studio with an incredible view of Molokai and Napili Bay. The condo was a bit dated, especially the bathroom. But it was sparkling clean and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are well-kept and the restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (5315) was quite good, especially during happy hour. Sadly though our plan to roll out of bed to the line for breakfast at Gazebo was thwarted as they had some equipment issues that required that they temporarily close to fix. One of the things that you will need to do is strip the bed of linens and put those and the towels into large bags that they provide. From reading other reviews I noticed that some weren't happy about that but we had no problem with this request - it's just one more thing that we need to deal with due to Covid. All in all it was a much more pleasant stay than we expected and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
