My daughter and I rented the deluxe room. It had air conditioning, sink, and toilet. It was very cozy and had plenty of room for 2 people. We especially liked quiet hour, 10:30 pm to 8:00 am. I loved the open kitchen and living area,...More
The staff at Northshore really do a great job of welcoming newcomers. It has been decades since I stayed in a youth hostel. This one was Safe, Clean and affordable (especially for Hawaii!) The free breakfast is a nice touch.
ADVICE: Bring ear plugs.
Clean hostel but STRICTLY enforced EARLY quiet hours as of 10PM. There's a lovely balcony but STRICTLY enforced quiet hours on the balcony too :(
Lovely private rooms but there's nowhere in this hostel to socialize with other travellers after quiet hours :(
Excellent!!! Clean, friendly supportive staff, excellent location, quiet and rooms have air-conditioning. Just a great place I highly recommend it and I will be sure to visit again. Soon I hope . Oh and not to forget the wonderful complimentary breakfast. Thank you!

Hi Khandi, it is safe to walk to Maui Beach hotel but much easier by taxi.I f you are willing to pay the staff to drive you (which I cannot arrange) you might as well take a taxi or perhaps you might contact the tour company and request they pick you up at the hostel, it's only a 7 minute drive. We look forward to your visit!
