We visit Molokai on an annual basis. We stay in a condo at the Molokai Shores. The photo you show with the title Hotel Molokai is really the grounds at the Molokai Shores. These condos are individually owned. The grounds are immaculate, and the swimming pool has recently been remodeled and rebuilt. There are bar-b-ques for the guests and although there is no swimming beach, the water is shallow enough to wade out almost to the reef and you will see people fishing there daily. It is only 1 1/2 miles from downtown Kaunakakai and although it doesn't have dining or grocery facilities, each condo has its own kitchen. A number of the guests gather for sunset cocktails every night and it's a good way to meet new people and enjoy the view. We enjoy occasional dinners at Hiro's Ohana Grill at the Hotel Molokai where there is nightly local entertainment and very good food and service. We plan our trip to be there the Saturday night after Valentine's Day as that is the night of the annual performance of Moana's Hula Halau which is always an outstanding experience.

Great place. Basically central to the island’s attractions, not too far from anything. Quiet little private beach. Hiro’s Grill on site was excellent. Wi-Fi was great!! I had to work remote several days and had no issues whatsoever with it in the room, though it’s a bit weak by the pool and restaurant. Rooms are cozy and well-furnished. Gift shop and vending machine on site for extra convenience. There’s a couple cats and some roosters roaming around (they do cockadoodledoo around 7am). As the only hotel on the island (only other options are VRBO/Airbnb and the like), they don’t have to be this good, but they are!

The hotel was perfectly situated On the coral beach to watch sunsets and mama whales teaching their babies to jump. The food at the grill along with service was great!. I do wish the pool was heated but understand that running costs can be high, especially after the pandemic. The hotel was staffed, fully and efficiently.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in an Ocean View room. Hats off to the awesome hotel staff who welcomed us to their hotel and the island of Molokai. Our room was very comfortable with a comfortable king bed and lanai. We enjoyed fantastic food at the hotel restaurant Hiro while seated with beautiful views of Lanai and Molokai.

We had high hopes for staying here but it turned out to be a bust. We originally booked 3 nights but only stayed for 1. We checked out the morning after checking in and flew to Oahu for the remainder of our vacation. Overall the staff were not very friendly or helpful at all, even with answering basic questions about the island, we were brushed off. The restaurant onsite had good food, but poor service and the hostess was rude and sat us in a bad location. The resort was just OK. It is located next to the water but there is not a beach or ocean swimming available. Very small pool. The grounds are nice. We liked the roosters and didn't notice any noise. The parking is terrible. When we came back at 5pm the entire lot was full due to restaurant customers. There are no spaces marked for hotel guests. Our room was just OK. We had a partial ocean view from the lanai which was nice. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice with plenty of hot water. Other parts were a bit rundown (the sliding door would get stuck, curtains a bit shabby, peeling paint on the ceiling, the dresser drawers would get stuck). A word of caution, it might not be the best time to visit Molokai. We found the overall vibe of the island to be unfriendly and depressing. There are multiple anti-tourist signs posted along the main highway. The airport is rundown, but there are multiple flights available daily so that was helpful. Kalupapa is currently closed to non-residents and the mule trains are shut down. Many of the beaches are not great for swimming.

Inn keeper Michael Drew is hands on, making sure his property is up to spec, providing a MOST enjoyable experience. Being positioned on the coast with a spectacular view, hammocks on the shoreline, shade providing tress and a magnificent view all adds to one of the most pleasant experiences I've had, and I've been to all 7 continents. Big fan of this hotel because the people who run it are the kindest and most accommodating. It’s nothing fancy, but right next to the ocean which allows for some incredible kayak excursions. If you are looking for fancy and upscale, Molokai is just not the place for you. Don’t come-you won’t be welcome. It is not touristy. Restaurant is expensive, drinks are tasty, most of the time. The front desk staff is truly welcoming. If you are looking for comfort, basic amenities, and a low key Hawaii island, this is it.

The 1st thing I would like to say is this is the only hotel on the island Secondly Sonia at reception was extremely helpful In addition to the positives both bedding bed and towels 1st class On the negatives this island is a very unfriendly place and many locals use this establishment to drink and meet, hold events The attached restaurant is of very poor quality with the waitress service again being pretty arrogant and unfriendly to outsiders with poor quality food There was a constant smell of the sceptic tank on our stay, the hotel is pretty run down

This is a beautiful hotel located on the water in Molokai. The staff is very friendly and there is a great restaurant and bar on-site. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool was very clean and we maintained. A great place to relax The only minor negative about the hotel is there is not really a beach at it, but there are several beaches very close by Would definitely come back here
