I cannot even put into words how much of an awesome place this was! My partner and I rented a cabin right on the beach front in early February 2016. We had a comfortable night sleep every night, falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We had a great picnic table/fire pit combo with friendly neighbours, but we were... More

Great place to camp! It was perfect for our family of five with twin 7 yr olds and a 4 yr old. We stayed in hale 2 practically on the beach first and fit comfortably in the hut and a small tent outside. Then moved to a plantation suite (S4) for the last few days and had plenty of space... More

The best thing we liked about this place was the location. very easy to get to the beach. you can rent all sort of water equipment from the office. the camp ground was maintained very well in general. Things to improve: -**They have a rule of no driving after 7pm and the gates are all locked at 7pm. Unfortunately, there... More

We rented a campsite that was near the beach and the bathroom. Parking was great for our site and we were right next to the beach. We pitched two tents, bought all the needed items and had a great stay. Security came around after 8pm to check on the number of people at the campsite. The bathroom was tidy and... More

After reading some of the older reviews, I want sure what to expect. Pros: Amazing views Hales are well kept Close to other north shore attractions Cost conscious Cons Gates are physically locked from 7-7. This prevented us from getting into Honolulu for an early hike ( planning ahead and parking outside the gate would have remedied) Spotty cell coverage... More

Affordable spot with stunning views. A perfect beach spot. We were only able to stay for one night, but wished we could have spent another. Book a few days in advance if possible. There are also excellent hikes within a short drive from this place, so it serves as a base camp.

Arrived late and found out that the gates closed at 7.00pm so we had 10mins to get some food and bed down for the night in our "suite" that we paid almost $200 per night AUS for which, when we checked in, was very average. No basin, indoor shower etc - only a toilet and 2 beds. Not even a... More

Although I like tent camping, my husband's choice of a cabin (S4) was a good one especially since we are almost 80 years old. We experienced three windy days, one overnight storm and rain.Took long walks along the beach. Daytime sunny. We enjoyed the peace and cool air and total relaxation. The cabin had three beds, electricity in all rooms,... More

MAY 2008: First, this review is for our visit in May, 2008. We stayed in a yurt. It was not in very good shape and it was dirty. I cleaned it, shook out the mattress, and made two small repairs using my handy pocket tool. A broom and dust pan was provided so I made it our home for the... More

I stayed for four nights at this great campground! I loved my time here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I arrived VERY late, or early in the morning, due to my flight, but my check in information was ready for me as well as a map to find my hale. It was beautiful! Hearing the ocean as I fell asleep... • Our little cabin from behind! The sand just a step away.
