We loved our stay at Hale Nalo! Our garden studio was perfect for us ~ private, quiet, cozy and a minutes walk to the beach! It had all the necessities and comfy bed to sleep soundly in after a wonderful day on Oahu. We loved the beach which was pretty private most of the time. Gorgeous soft sand, turquoise water...

We stayed for 10 nights at the end of January 2017 Hale Nalo is located in a nice, quiet primarily residential neighbourhood that serves as a nice base for exploring the island. You definitely need to rent a car if you want to make the most of the island. There are a few nice trails nearby (koko crater and lighthouse),...

We were so happy to stay at Hale 'Nalo - it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is great, just steps from a fantastic beach, and just a short drive to Honolulu and to other parts of the island. Plus we loved that this property was located in a less touristy spot, it really felt like...

Rarely does a service exceed my expectations, Herlinda's Airbnb did just that! My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 15 nights here and we could not have been more satisfied. We had stayed at the Hilton in Waikiki earlier in the year and were looking for something a bit less touristy for this trip. I was hesitant to...

Aloha Alex and Sarah, and thank you so much for this very kind review! It is absolutely music to our ears when a guest says we exceeded their expectations, and even more so because you were with us for a relaxed 15 nights, time simply flew by because you were such delightful guests. We hope to see you again very...

My husband and I recently spent 8 nights at Hale 'Nalo near Wamanalo, Oahu. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Wayne and Herlinda were so helpful, answering all our questions and we will remember our stay with fondness. Waking up to the birds singing was especially nice. We appreciated the use of beach chairs, swim towels, snorkel gear...

This trip was the first trip my wife and I have taken to the Hawaiian Islands. The main draw to Oahu, for us, was the Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. We are always looking for quiet peaceful places to vacation and Waikiki does not offer that experience. We had considered staying on one of the other "quiet" Islands and taking...

My sister and I recently visited Oahu. Our three wonderful nights at Hale 'Nalo, a 20 minute drive from the urban jungle, was the best medicine and a great place to reflect and renew. This was my first private-rental experience and I didn't quite know what to expect. Cat ladies? Overbearing hosts? Angry neighbors? I am so pleased to report...

Sandy G, we enjoyed reading this review, and we thank you for your efforts and your time in expressing your experience at Hale "Nalo. When we read it, it sounds more a like reminiscing of a wonderful adventure than a review. That is what makes it sound so good.Thank you. We hear "Uncle Hank and Cousin Aki" on occasion ourselves!...

We had the great pleasure of spending a week in the Zen Treehouse. Waking up to glorious birdsong, the ocean breeze blowing thru....it doesn't get any better. Thank you so much for your review! Nothing says we did our job like, “it was so relaxing and peaceful that we spent most of our time there and cancelled our "tourist" plans!” A true Zen moment for us. I stayed at Hale Nalo 5 years ago in 2010 in the Makai Garden Suite with my wife and that was a trip we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I got a chance to come back for a conference in Honolulu, but there was no way I would stay in Honolulu when I can rent a car...
