Our first trip to this region, came for the activities and the park, not needing a resort with room service and tons of amenities. This was exactly what we were looking for, CLEAN room, comfy clean bed! quiet location, we took a cabin, got some great sleep, and back out into town and the park! We're coming back in 3...

Plus points: Clean and comfortable room, basic facilities like coffee machine and refrigerator in the room, free wifi, friendly staff, close to national park. We enjoyed our stay there. They also have a small yard where you can barbecue Min points:I no babreakfast.,

plenty of parking, we stayed in the apartment- but access to it was horrible -narrow steps ,next to a graveyard. mosquito around,a large lawn to picnic and roam around The hotel is easily accessible, close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Entering Barton's is similar to going back and living in the 1950's. After getting past that, ambience isn't everything. Beds are comfy, sheets and rooms are clean and prices are MORE than reasonable. Having stayed in both the motel and the cottages I've felt completely relaxed. Since the property is in the Hull's Cove area, it's just a bout 5-7...

A perfect motel for buget conscious travelers. For under $65 we had a clean room, comfortable bed, WiFi, cable TV, microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a good night's sleep. Tub, shower, and sink of course. The facilities are dated, but well maintained. There are chairs outside where you can relax. Another review comments on noise, but what we hear...

The hotel is easily accessible, close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. There are spacious and clean rooms. Terry, the owner is friendly and helpful. The parking is free and a lot of green around. You can make also barbeque. There is no breakfast, nor hair dryer.

I booked 3 cottages for my family. It turned out one family couldn't make the trip so we had 2 cottages between us. My daughter's had 2 bedrooms, a nice living room and a full kitchen and bath. It was adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. The kitchen appliances were old, but they worked. They have a dog and...

First re "affordability," rates seem to have ***doubled*** since the $78 quotes from a couple years ago. This review would be more forgiving if <100. I don't believe in spending much for expensive lodging that creates sense of obligation or excessive desire to "stay in". In this case, though, we went into bar harbor (and spending $$ eating out) on...

we stayed in one of the cottages with a little porch in the front. Very nice, quiet, small, but it was all that we needed. Had a tv, small fridge. Nothing fancy, but practical and reasonably priced. Would definitely return there.

Bartons was one of the few motels on the island that allowed less than a one week stay while also offering a wee kitchen and two bedrooms. We were perfectly aware that we weren't staying in deluxe accommodations and Bartons suited our needs perfectly. We had a two burner kitchenette and wee fridge that allowed us to cook a hearty...
