Extraordinary customer service at Salt Cottages. Rooms were very clean and featured all we needed to enjoy the space. Nighttime s’mores were an unexpected joy. Located minutes from Acadia and a short drive to Bar Harbor.

Property's Favourite Review
We fell on this place by accident and could not have been happier. We got to Acadia at night with no reservation (this is how we rolled during our New England road trip) and most hotels on the main road had No vacancy. We were getting dicouraged and saw these cottages and decided to check them out. To our surprise and delight they had room! We were greeted with a glass of prosecco, A smores kit and a hard seltzer. Cottages are so comfy, clean and spacious. They are brand new and so tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom large, nice kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Coffee was provided (too bad they didn't provide tea as well) . Each cottage has a cute little garden and sitting area with Adirondack Chairs. Pool, spa and firepit area are very clean and inviting, as is the lobby area with burning fireplace. Price was on the expensive side but well worth it.

The cabins were extremely well cared for and impeccably clean. The staff was very helpful. The nightly s’mores are a nice touch. The location was perfect. Less than than five minutes to Acadia Visitors Center and less than ten minutes to downtown Bar Harbor.

From the moment I checked until I checked out, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was even offered a glass of wine or a blueberry soda upon check in. The cottages are beautiful and extremely clean. The amenities are well maintained and not overly crowded. I would definitely stay here again. They’re close enough to town but far away enough to feel secluded and are just perfect.

My wife and I just spent a few days here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing! The management was nice, the rooms were spotless and the cottages quite simply beautiful. It was a BARGAIN! The heated pool, multiple hot tubs and luxurious patio highlighted the entertainment area. Ohh and there’s a fire pit as well, overlooking the ocean. We will come back here every year for our honeymoon. We love the salt cottages!

We loved Salt Cottages! Really hard to leave....From check-in to check out, the staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. The quaint and quiet front porch was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the unobstructed view of Hull's Cove. The beautiful craftsmanship that brought these original cottages back to life was truly amazing. Combining old with new modern amenities was a perfect blend. I am looking forward to coming back to enjoy what I found to be a perfectly Maine experience. Thanks for making this trip a wonderful adventure.

We just returned home from a nine day New England road trip - with our stay at Salt Cottages being the highlight. Everything was perfect - from our check-in, until we said good-bye. The cottage was bright and cheerful. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The grounds were beautiful - well-groomed and quiet. We really didn’t want to leave! We promised ourselves we’d be back - maybe make it an annual visit for us. Bar Harbor the town - was a big disappointment. TOO many people - but returning back to our cottage gave us the Maine experience we were hoping for. Everything was perfect…. Thank you!

What a great place to stay! So happy I chose Salt Cottages for a romantic anniversary trip. The cottages are beautiful, roomy and comfortable. Hot tubs were relaxing. Ate at the restaurant twice. Breakfast sandwiches, hamburger and onion rings were great. Fish not so much. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was also a win - close to Bar Harbor but no crowds. We will definitely stay here again.

I don't often take the time to leave reviews but after an amazing three night stay earlier this month I just wanted to make sure this place gets the credit it deserves. We stayed in a studio cottage that was immaculately clean with a comfortable bed and a quiet a/c system. The amenities like ping pong table, heated pool, hot tubs, picnic tables and a snack bar were so awesome. Every staff member we met and talked with were super accommodating and friendly. The glass of Prosecco upon arrival after a long drive was just a really nice touch. We really felt cared for during our stay and will likely be back before the season is over (and surely for a visit next summer as well)!
