We checked in, Jayne was not only friendly, but had great tips on where to go, eat, and things to do. Our room in the motel had kitchen, king size bed, deck facing the ocean, and a fireplace, for an extremely reasonable price. We stayed 5 days, will stay there anytime we visit the area again. *Make sure you get...

We stayed at one of the second floor cabins at the very edge of the property, bounded by a forest, with a nice little balcony for viewing the cove. The furnishings in our room were a little grandmotherly but it was roomy, clean and comfortable. And that balcony was just so peaceful with lapping waves and a billion stars winking...

The view is amazing. After a 9 hour drive to Maine (with a toddler no less) this was a little slice of heaven. It was so calm, beautiful, quiet, and tranquil. I couldn't sing the praises louder. The room was pretty large and spacious even though we had a pack n' play (provided by the hotel with sweet baby bedding)....

This is one of the most beautiful, relaxing places I've ever had the pleasure to visit. My wife and I have the same birthday and we go away for a few days every year to celebrate. We often stay locally (New England) and had never been to Bar Harbor. What a find! This place is right on the water (our...

I am so pleased to be able to recommend this motel. My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages and what a treat to come back after a long day of hiking the nearby Acadia National Park. We arrived shortly before the tourist season and literally felt as though we had the entire island to ourselves. The cottage...

Cozy place where we felt very welcome, the owners were very competent and informed us about the best places to visit in Acadia Park. We had the most beautiful water view from our cottage and porch. Quiet and peaceful area. We would definitely stay here again

We have been traveling to Bar Harbor for years and have been staying in the same place for the last several years. Because our "regular" place was not available this year we opted to stay at The Edgewater based on Tripadvisor reviews. What a find! I hesitate to even share it for fear it will become too difficult to book....

We have been coming here for many years and always stay in Cottage 1 which has a king bed, kitchen, living room area and working stone fireplace. The cottages are rustic but very well appointed and clean. Wood is provided daily for fires which is a very nice feature in the fall when the nights get very cool. They are...

My daughter and I stayed here while visiting the Bar Harbor/Acadia area. It looks like you are driving into a residential area and then when you get to the edge of the water this is where the cottages are located. We stayed in #11 which is at the end of the row so it was even more secluded. The area...

We stayed in the Seascape Suite (2nd floor of the White House) there was a great screened in porch overlooking the water. It was a short 1/10th of a mile walk to the office and grassy area with the chairs shown in the photos. The unit was quite large. One BR had 2 queen (I think) beds and the other...
