This renovated historic home has a lot of charm. My wife and I stayed with our adult aged daughter in the Boy's Room. There was plenty of space for us along with a handy kitchen for making meals. It's just one block off Main street and a short distance to the harbor on foot. If the cruise ships are in,... More

We stayed in the Boy's Room which was perfect for two couples. We each had a nice bedroom on the second floor with a cute kitchenette. The location was perfect, easy to walk to town and the sea walk. On a quiet residential street with gardens and plenty of cozy sitting outside you could relax if you wanted or just... More

This place is a great find in Bar Harbor. Its tucked away from the main strip but close enough to walk to any Bar Harbor destination like restaurants, bars, bar island, ocean path, and so on. We were camping at Seawall for three days and then spent 3 nights in the studio -where we were finally able to take a... More

Here for a few days in early August. Moldy bathroom, rusty and greasy utensils. Very disappointed since it was our first time here. The bed and pillows were very firm. Had high hopes based on the reviews. Will not be coming back.

We're sorry that our guests' experience at Snell House was not enjoyable. We accept this as constructive criticism and, though our standards are already extremely high, we will try to raise them even further. Snell House provides fully stocked kitchens with dozens of individual pieces: utensils, table settings, storage containers, cookware, glasses, as well as other necessities like cheese graters,... We were very happy with our little studio in Snell House. An excellent central location, clean and comfortable room with convenient kitchen facilities (we ate at home most evenings), and a lovely garden to sit in. Not fancy, but homey - we were very satisfied.

This is a real gem. A quiet street, a great path to the ocean, a bed and kitchen, very easy walk into town on Atlantic street. Mary and Paul were great with suggestions and so helpful. The property has a garden and chairs to relax and also a porch with a bench and chairs. We watched a young deer right... More

My family of four stayed at the Snell House for 5 nights in late June and felt totally at home. Paul and Mary couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, beginning weeks before our arrival as we chose which of the accommodations might work best for us. We stayed in "George's Study" - a two bedroom, 1 bath apartment with... More

Our whole family, 8 adults and 5 children rented 4 units within the home for 4 nights. My husband and I had the studio which is a large room with a kitchen and bath. My son, his wife and their 2 children were across the hall from us in a 2-bedroom, full kitchen and bath and small deck. My daughter,... More

I visited with my husband, sister, and mom in early September and the Snell House was the perfect place to stay for us. It's really the only place I could find in downtown Bar Harbor that has a kitchen yet lets us stay less than a full week. The icing on the cake for me is the garden... we got... More
