John & Christine have a great place right in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Although we did not stay at the Inn (wish we would have); we had dinner at the restaurant our last night in town. It was SOOOOOOOO good! I mean everything we ordered from the mussels to the pork chop (w/ the most delicious pineapple chutney...

First trip to Bar Harbor & so happy to have found this gem! Old world charm with modern amenities (wifi worked great), wonderful hospitality and most of all clean! We chose Room 2 Royalty w/ king (comfy) bed, gas fireplace & deck...where we had cocktail hour w/ new friends. Wonderful organic breakfast prepared every morning by Christine. Right on Main...

Great location and John and Christine were marvelous hosts. That being said, our room was smaller than expected, only one chair, one night stand, and a tub that was so high sided that it was difficult and dangerous to get in and out. The door into the room scraped the floor probably because the floor was a bit warped. The...

Lovely place in the heart of Bar Harbor! No need for a car once you get there. We were there for 10 days and stayed in two different rooms. The first was a little cramped but the second one was large and very charming. Bed was very comfortable. Could use more light in both rooms. While the inn is quite...

John & Christine Poole run a marvelous operation here! They're hands-on without being overbearing, and their staff is just as nice and helpful. The rooms are quaint, clean, and well maintained. The meals in their restaurant were superb, as were the included breakfasts. And did I mention the all-time best Monte Cristo sandwich, bar none, that we had one day...

We stayed at the Ivy Manor Inn for a week, returning home yesterday, so we were there during high tourist season. It was our first time at the inn, but far from our first time in Bar Harbor. The inn is in a terrific location, right in downtown Bar Harbor, so it's possible to wander easily from shop to shop...

We started out in the bar and ended up with a wonderful dinner. the owner john, was very friendly and made us want to come back. The food was delicious, using fresh ingredients to make our salmon and shrimp dishes out of this world....

John and Christine along with their team (Amy, Molly and others) do a great job of making their guests feel welcome. They interact freely and appropriately (no creepy over-bearing supervision here) with guests and work to accommodate each request. Breakfasts are gourmet and hearty. The Inn is located in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor so walking distance from all...

This is the best B&B my wife and I have ever stated it. The location is adjacent to the town square and the breakfast is awesome. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and happily accommodate random requests. My wife and I roasted s'mores around the firepit in front if the inn at night. You...

The innkeepers, John and Christine are extremely accommodating... anything you need or want, just ask and if it is possible they will find a way! We were a group of four with varying dietary needs. My aunt and uncle eat wheat but only eincorn (ancient form of wheat that's not hybridized) and I am allergic to nitrites/nitrates and can only...
